Timeform View

Not a maiden that will take much winning and ROMAN CRYSTAL might be the way to go as she leaves the impression she has a bigger effort in her. Ponte Carlo's best run has come on the all-weather but he looks a big player in this company. Beechwood Glory and newcomer Lone Striker are also of interest.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Ponte Carlo traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Roman Crystal traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 4 starts.

Timeform Comments

Beechwood Glory (IRE)
More clued up than on debut and duly found a bit of progress when third at Chepstow (6f) a fortnight ago, every chance. In the mix again.
Coul Blue (IRE)
£16,000 Gregorian half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner Magistery. 13/2, proved very green in 7f Musselburgh maiden last week.
Flashing Star
10,000 gns Rajasinghe gelding out of a useful sprinter. Little impact in 5f Beverley maiden (very well backed and green) and Newcastle novice. Hood goes on and he looks one for nurseries.
Lone Striker (IRE)
Foaled April 2. €3,500 yearling, Alkumait gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 6f/7f winner Nations Alexander and 6f-1m winner Band Width, both useful. Connections have useful Woodcote winner Hickory Lad to compare him to and he's not overfaced on debut.
Mick's The Boy (IRE)
Chased home very promising Arapaho Gold (rated 101) in 6f novice at Thirsk in July. Not so good in weak race at Catterick (5f) last time but clearly of interest on that earlier effort now back up in trip.
Ponte Carlo (IRE)
Found improvement under a more positive ride when third of 10 in 7f maiden at Newcastle but not so good fitted with cheekpieces in 6f Nottingham nursery next time. Given a break and probably has a race in him.
Redrosecastana (IRE)
Foaled May 13. €36,000 foal, £16,000 2-y-o, Mehmas gelding. Closely related to 2-y-o 6f winner River Blackwater and half-brother to 1m/8.3f winner Ravishing Beauty. Dam 2-y-o 5f/6f winner. Makes some appeal on paper for small yard.
Unbeatable Fame (IRE)
Green and well held in 5f maiden/novice.
Black Cuillin (IRE)
Raced solely at Pontefract, paying for taking on the favourite at a strong gallop in nursery (6f) last month. More needed if she's to take this.
Roman Crystal (IRE)
Showed much more than previously when fourth in valuable 6f York novice last month. Not so good at Thirsk next time but back down in class here and might have a bigger performance in her.
