Timeform View

Preference is for PISANELLO to maintain his recent winning streak from what is still a handy mark. Course winners Ricardo Phillips and Clipsham Noble can lead the rest home in that order.

Timeform Comments

Pisanello (IRE)
Finally took advantage of a much-reduced mark, and refitting of a visor, when recording a hat-trick at Redcar (2 wins) and Hamilton over the course of the last 3 weeks. Now races off a 6 lb higher mark but remains very well treated on old form.
Ricardo Phillips
Reliable sort for the grade who won here over further last summer and has returned this season with a couple of placed efforts, beaten just a nose by Clipsham Noble over C&D (good to firm) 18 days ago, edged out post. Weighted to reverse form with that rival and should be thereabouts again.
Kameel
Sixteen runs since last win in 2025. Shaped as if needing stronger gallop when 4¾ lengths fourth of 6 to Clipsham Noble in handicap over C&D (good to firm, 11/4) 18 days ago (Ricardo Phillips second). The blinkers now go on for the first time.
Hachiman
Yet to fully fire for this yard this year though stopped the slide when third over C&D in early July. 7/1 and in first-time cheekpieces, 7¼ lengths fifth of 6 to Clipsham Noble in handicap over C&D (good to firm) 18 days ago. Has to reverse form with a couple of these from then.
Clipsham Noble (IRE)
A winner twice here this season for his new yard, latest in 6-runner handicap over C&D (good to firm) 18 days ago by nose from Ricardo Phillips. A 2 lb rise seems fair though he does need things to drop just right given his running style.

Showed promise when third at Wolverhampton in February but was well held next 2 runs at Windsor when last seen in May. Subsequently left Tom Ward and has the headgear discarded but isn't easy to make a case for.
