Successful over C&D in July, GREAT did well to reel in the leaders when also winning at Pontefract last week and he is taken to add to his tally under a penalty. Jenever returned to form on his latest outing and is feared most from 5 lb below his last winning mark, ahead of Another Investment.

Dual winner last year and produced best effort of the current campaign when close third of 8 at Nottingham 3 weeks ago. On a handy mark and can make his presence felt switched back to blinkers.
Sixtygeesbaby (IRE)
Successful twice for Tom Clover and took a step back in the right direction for current yard when fifth of 19 at York last month. Wasn't able to build on that at Nottingham 3 weeks ago, though his mark has eased further as a result.
Stirrup Cup
Took advantage of a drop back in grade when winning apprentice handicap over C&D in June. Not ideally placed when fifth of 8 at Hamilton 9 days later, so could fare better back at this venue after a break.
Another Investment (IRE)
Returned to form this season when second at Doncaster in June. Backed that up when narrowly denied over C&D next time, before again going close back at Doncaster 10 days ago. Enters calculations.
Maldevious (IRE)
Made the frame on several occasions this season and, having had excuses on penultimate start, got off the mark with tongue strap added at Thirsk 10 days ago, despite hanging left late on. Back up in grade here.
Great
Overcame the run of the race when getting back to winning ways over C&D last month. Wasn't seen to best effect next 2 starts, before scoring in good style at Pontefract (5f) 6 days ago. Leading contender under a penalty.
Pickersgill (IRE)
Bounced back to best for present stable when winning at Southwell (7f) in April. Form has been in and out of late, though, reverting to starting slowly when down the field at Southwell (6f) 5 days ago.
Showtown (IRE)
Made the frame 2 of first 3 starts this season, before meeting trouble when fifth of 13 at Thirsk in June. However, below form at the same course last time and has something to find if he's to gain a breakthrough success. Has had a breathing operation.
Valentine Catcher
Enduring a lengthy barren spell but ran well when making the frame at Ayr and over this C&D in May. Hasn't been in the same form the last twice, though, tried over 1m at Doncaster last month on latest outing.
