A trappy event in which TOO HOT TO TANGO is given another chance to build on June's C&D win. Stable switcher Knights Gold is also considered, with the consistent Signcastle City likely to give another good account.

Timeform Comments

Mia Sunshine (GER)
Won at Machecoul maiden and Saint-Cloud handicap last autumn prior to finishing seventh of 10 in a Fontainebleau (1¼m, good to soft) listed race. Left Francis-Henri Graffard for €130,000 and is worth a betting check with Loughnane booked on return from 8 months off.
Clouds Hill (IRE)
Improved to make a successful reappearance at Yarmouth (1¼m) in April. Bettered that form when a very good third of 11 at Newbury (1¼m) next time but has been brushed aside all 3 starts since. Clearly well treated on his best form and may get a soft lead here.
Great Chieftain (IRE)
Back-to-back winner at Newmarket and Haydock last spring but hasn't fired this term. Opposable again despite much reduced mark.
Knights Gold (IRE)
Won 5 times in 2025, Eased in weights following a slow start to present campaign and better signs when third in handicaps at Newbury/Yarmouth in June. Didn't get any sort of clean run when fifth of 9 at Chester (7.6f) 33 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole.
Colourband (IRE)
Successful return at Bath over 1¼m in April and bettered form when runner-up in a 5-runner handicap over that same trip at Ayr 17 days ago. Hasn't always looked straightforward, but enthusiastic run-style could lend itself well to this shorter trip.
Signcastle City (IRE)
Back to winning ways at Chelmsford (7f) in February and at least respectable efforts on last 5 starts, making his challenge away from the main action when fourth of 12 in handicap at Newbury (1m, firm) 35 days ago. Should give another decent account.
Magical Merlot
Made fourth and final start at 2 yrs a winning one in a 1m Brighton novice in October. Been a mixed bag this year but posted a good third at C&D in May and ran respectably enough breaking on terms for a change when third of 5 in handicap at Lingfield (9f, good to firm) 47 days ago.
Too Hot To Tango
Placed numerous times before finally putting it all together and coming out on top in a 9-runner handicap at C&D in June. Only briefly challenged before her effort petered out when last of 4 in handicap at Epsom (8.5f, good to firm, 2/1) 14 days ago but can be given another chance.
