ASHDOWN FOREST surely has more to offer for Dan Skelton based on the pick of his Flat form, so he looks capable of following up his recent Uttoxeter success. God of Fire has been handed a generous opening mark given his previous exploits on the level and should be a factor provided this doesn't come too soon after his comeback. Fine Point is also in good hands and may get back on the up following a break.

God Of Fire (IRE)
Has seemingly been hard to train since his days as a useful performer on the Flat but made the most of a good opportunity to open his account over hurdles at Newton Abbot (2¼m) on comeback last month. Opening mark generous on Flat form and must be taken seriously.
Four Decades
Little impact in 2 bumpers and mid-field at best in a trio of maiden hurdles around 2m. Not beaten far on handicap debut at Fakenham in April and was always behind dropped back markedly in trip at Uttoxeter 4 months on.
Fine Point (IRE)
Confirmed promise of Kelso run when a well-backed winner of a 2m Hexham handicap on only his third start for present yard in May. Seemed to have no excuses on account of the trip when third back there since but could get back on the up following a break.

Course winner who failed to build on the promise of last run when 17½ lengths third of 10 in handicap hurdle at this course (21f, good to firm) 57 days ago. Eased 2 lb.

Proved a different proposition over hurdles as he landed the odds on the back of another breathing operation starting out for Dan Skelton in 2m handicap at Uttoxeter just over 3 weeks ago. More to come for this yard and looks capable of following up.
Ballynoe Boy (IRE)
Has made the frame on 3 of his 4 starts in handicaps, though failed to impress with his jumping technique at Cartmel on most recent outing. More required.
