Timeform View

If LOGI BEAR can reproduce the level of last month's turf near miss at Nottingham he might be able to land a second career success. Far Too Fizzy has a win and close third to show from 2 previous outings over this C&D and is second choice ahead of Riley Rocks, who is nicely handicapped on his all-weather form from earlier in the year.

Timeform Comments

Hierarchy (IRE)
C&D winner. Creditable sixth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (6f, 33/1) 19 days ago, nearest finish after a slowish start left him poorly placed.
Sir Alfie (IRE)
Fairly useful winner over 5f/6f in Ireland last year but hasn't really threatened in handicaps for current yard, with latest fourth on turf here coming in a 5-runner race.
Riley Rocks
Scored over 6f on tapeta at Newcastle and Southwell on first 2 starts this year. Has found life harder on turf since but well handicapped if a return to all-weather sparks a revival.
Perdy In Paris
Placed in maiden/novice events on first 3 starts, including C&D. Well beaten in a big-field Class 3 on Glorious Goodwood handicap debut 18 days ago but could make more of an impact in these calmer waters.
Kimbara
Yet to score but he shaped well when placed over 7f on turf in his first 2 handicaps. Given a bit of a break since a lesser effort at Newmarket 5 weeks ago and likely capable of bouncing back. First 6f start since his debut.
Logi Bear (IRE)
Went the wrong way for Richard Hannon last year but back in better form for new yard this summer, going close at Nottingham (6f, good to firm) 25 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Big player.
Punchbowl Flyer (IRE)
Won back-to-back handicaps on turf in June. Only sixth in a claimer at Wolverhampton since but stands more of a chance back in a handicap.
Far Too Fizzy
Made all over C&D in January. Fair fourth at Wolverhampton last month and being trapped wide offers an excuse for a lesser run at Chester since. Enters calculations.
