Timeform View

KYLIAN and Fluorescence make plenty of appeal in a race that should suit both, with Robert Cowell's well-treated sprinter narrowly shading the vote. Vintage Clarets is lurking on a dangerous mark but perhaps doesn't have the ideal draw or ground conditions.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Fluorescence has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Badri
Veteran who was at the top of his game when landing a course hat-trick last month, latterly defying a penalty to see off One And Gone. Can be forgiven subsequent effort at Windsor, and the draw has been much kinder on this occasion.
Fluorescence
Progressive when notching a third win from 5 career starts in 3-y-o handicap last summer. Far from discredited in listed/group events this season prior to looking an unlucky loser in this sort of grade at Hamilton last time. A 2 lb rise could be lenient and she's a serious player from a handy draw.
Baker Blue
Front runner. Useful performance when doubling his tally on all-weather in February. Went as close as he has on turf when chasing home Badri over C&D last month before finishing 3 lengths sixth in a solid 3-y-o handicap at Goodwood. More needed back against his elders, though.
Rocking Ends
Revitalised by the refitting of a visor when winning a Newmarket handicap for third successive year last month. Tad lit up in the same headgear when 1¾ lengths fifth of 13 at Ascot subsequently. Could do a bit better if more tractable under the returning Cieran Fallon (1-1).
Kylian (IRE)
Listed winner at Baden-Baden for Archie Watson. Best effort for current yard when close third behind now-smart Crown of India at Leicester (6f) in April. Again had a plausible excuse at Ascot last time. Change of headgear/strongly-run 5f may see him capitalise on a very attractive mark.
Vintage Clarets
Relishes softer conditions but was very useful winner of Shergar Cup event on good to firm last summer. Has dropped a long way in the weights since and shaped as if back in top form when beaten 2 lengths in a stronger race than this at Glorious Goodwood. Dangerous if things fall right from stall 8.
One And Gone (IRE)
Speedy 3-y-o who dug deep to land a double at Sandown early last month. Wasn't at his best when bidding for a hat-trick in a better event at Goodwood since. Something to find at the weights on first start against his elders.
Reigning Profit (IRE)
Benefitted from a more positive ride when getting off the mark for the season at Ripon last month. Not in same form under penalty here prior to creditable run in a hot Goodwood handicap (¾-length behind Vintage Clarets). In a better race than ideal as he bids for a fifth C&D success.
