Most of these arrive out of sorts but a chance is taken on MEGAPHONE dropping into this grade for the first time. 3-time C&D winner Alafdhal also has his first taste of classified company so he may give the selection most to do, with Our Hero Matty rounding off the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Alafdhal (IRE)
3-time C&D winner but little to shout about this season, again running poorly in reapplied headgear at Yarmouth (6f, firm) 12 days ago. Needs to bounce back dropped into this grade for the first time.
Battle Point (IRE)
Ran better than for a while when fifth of 9 in similar event at Bath (5.7f, firm) last month but his overall strike rate (1-53) makes him one to oppose.
Jungle Dance (IRE)
Largely struggled for form in 2025 and offered little returning from 3 months off at Chelmsford in February. Can only be watched having been off since.
Let's Go Hugo (IRE)
Has been poor on turf this season, producing something of a laboured effort down in this grade for the first time at Redcar recently. Hopes pinned on reapplied cheekpieces.
Megaphone
Hasn't won since completing a double here for previous yard in early-2025. Form for new stable for miss than hit but entitled to sharpen up for his first outing in 10 weeks here (7f) last month. Considered in this grade for the first time returned to 5f.
Mister Mcgregor (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who was placed here and at Chepstow in June but has never been the most consistent, finishing down the field on both recent outings. Drops back to 5f.
Rajeteriat
Long-standing maiden who was in form over the winter but has run badly the last twice. Drops in grade and a return to the all-weather needs to spark a revival.
She Went Whoosh (IRE)
Best effort for a while when runner-up at Bath in May but has followed that up with 4 poor efforts.
Our Hero Matty (IRE)
Maiden who wasn't seen to best effect on first try at this longer trip when sixth of 7 in similar event at Catterick (7f, firm) earlier in the month. First-time blinkers go on and drops back to the minimum trip.
