Timeform View

PHOENIX ARIZONA has improved on the back of a stable switch of late, finding only one too good over shorter here 2 weeks ago. He can confirm recent promise and shades preference over Sekakarma who also found only one too good latest. Last-time-out scorer Laska du Breuil and El Arco on debut for Gordon Elliott are others to consider.

Timeform Comments

Wild Mandate (IRE)
Overcame a shoddy round of jumping when enterprisingly ridden to open her account over an extended 25f here last month, only narrowly holding on. Well held at Galway since but this is less demanding at least.
Laska Du Breuil (FR)
Struggled switched to handicaps last season but well backed equipped with a tongue strap, he showed much improved form when landing 13-runner handicap at Limerick (2¾m, soft) in May. Ease back down in trip not an obvious move but claims nevertheless.
Phoenix Arizona (IRE)
Maiden who has improved upon joining present stable, backing up his good course third last month when second of 16 in handicap back here 13 days ago. Merits consideration back up in trip.
Georginas Jet (IRE)
Returned to form from out of the blue when winning 14-runner event at Downpatrick in June. Run with credit on 2 of her 3 starts since, likely to have finished second granted a clear shot at things when third over shorter here 2 weeks ago. Not ruled out provided this doesn't come too soon.
Love Like This (IRE)
Sole success came over hurdles at Kilbeggan in June and not disgraced on 2 of her last 3 starts since returned to chasing, arguably trying to come from further back than ideal when fourth at Roscommon (25f) 2 weeks ago. Not discounted back hurdling.
Ranting And Raven (IRE)
Fair maiden on the Flat who has looked in the grip of the assessor since handicapping in this sphere in recent months. Returns to a longer trip now with work to do.
Beacon Bypass (IRE)
Well held in 4 quick-fire runs in May. Unknown quantity sent handicapping in first-time tongue strap/cheekpieces, though assessor hasn't taken any chances with his opening mark.
Sekakarma (IRE)
Took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Downpatrick in July and stepped up further under a change of tactics when second at Wexford (2½m, good) 12 days ago, headed entering final 1f and held only late on. A repeat gives him obvious claims.
Katie's Casper (IRE)
Ridden more prominently and left previous efforts behind when 1½ lengths second of 14 in a handicap at Kilbeggan in June. Respectable fifth next time but never figured in first-time cheekpieces at Wexford (3m) 4 weeks ago. Needs to get back on track.
Mother Ship (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 21 runs and she was never better than midfield when seventh of 14 in handicap hurdle at Wexford (2½m, good) 12 days ago. Tongue strap now added to usual cheekpieces and the handicapper has eased his grip a little more.
Gortmore Lady (IRE)
Still looking for a breakthrough success and she failed to build on the promise of her Downpatrick third (2¼m) in July when a well held ninth back over same C&D 10 days ago. Needs to bounce back.
Clever Court (IRE)
Vastly improved when gaining first success in 15-runner handicap hurdle at Bellewstown (2½m) in July but unable to replicate that level in pair of starts at 3m since. Return to this trip rates a likely plus.
El Arco (IRE)
5-y-o who showed little in novice hurdles and fared no better for switch to handicaps for Harriet Dickin last season. Has made a very interesting yard switch though back down in trip and market confidence behind him would look significant.
Move It On Over (IRE)
Yet to make an impact in 9 starts over hurdles but he will at least find this less demanding than recent assignments he's in novice company. Still, others much more persuasive.
Glaoinn An Airgead (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 18 runs and not been shaping like bucking that trend of late, again posing no threat when tenth of 14 in a handicap hurdle at Wexford (3m) 4 weeks ago.
Max Time (IRE)
Winless since 2024 and seems only a poor hurdler/chaser nowadays. Others are much preferred.
Hob's Angel (IRE)
Took advantage of career-low mark at Clonmel (2½m) in May before finishing second in a 15-runner event at Limerick later in the month. However, not scaled same heights on 2 of her 3 subsequent outings, latterly when sixth at Wexford 12 days ago. RESERVE.
Firstupbestdressed (IRE)
Tongue strap on for 1st time, first run since leaving Conor David Maxwell when fourteenth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Downpatrick (2¼m, good) 36 days ago. Needs to leave that well behind to figure now fitted with cheekpieces. RESERVE.
