Timeform View

BANKS OF THE BOYNE ran well enough despite not looking to benefit from the return to 6f at the Curragh over the weekend and his previous form at Galway and Fairyhouse would make him the one to beat granted he copes with the quick turnaround. Joseph O'Brien's newcomer Togetherwearefree merits respect on debut, with The Green Helmet also on the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Banks Of The Boyne traded at a low of 6.80 and Betfair SP of 5.20 when losing last time, a race in which it raced behind.

Timeform Comments

Kilconnell
Foaled February 23. 6,500 gns yearling, Too Darn Hot colt. Dam unraced half-sister to useful winner up to 6f Prolific. Cheap purchase given his pedigree and others are preferred.
Letmeentertainyou (FR)
Ebro River colt looked in need of experience when eighth of 10 in maiden (28/1) at Cork (5f, good to firm) on debut 27 days ago. Significantly up in trip.
Battle Ready (IRE)
Holy Roman Emperor colt reached €22,000 as a yearling. Looked badly in need of the experience when fourteenth of 16 in maiden at Gowran (7f, good to firm) on debut 8 days ago.
Sovreigns Joy
Kameko colt cost 30,000 gns as a foal. Offered something to work on from a long way back when eighth of 15 in maiden at Galway (7f, soft, 20/1) on debut 20 days ago. Should improve.
Melchizedek (IRE)
Foaled April 15. €25,000 foal, €15,500 yearling (private sale), Awtaad colt. Half-brother to winner up to 6f Sopran Marjorie and 1m/9f winner Malhumorada. Due to be one of first runners for yard.
The Green Helmet (IRE)
Cotai Glory colt out of unraced half-sister to high-class stayer Trawlerman. Still rough around the edges when third of 11 in maiden at Sligo (6f, good to soft, 5/1) 15 days ago but that form would give him place claims again.
Togetherwearefree (IRE)
Foaled March 8. State of Rest filly. Half-sister to 1¼m winner Pass The Buck. Dam, placed at 1m-1¼m, half-sister to smart 7f-1m winner Horoscope. Represents leading yard, so is highly respected on debut.
Blitogue (IRE)
Space Traveller colt hinted at ability when fifth of 9 in minor event at Fairyhouse (7f, good) on debut 76 days ago but probably rates as a longer term prospect.
Buck Jones (IRE)
Elzaam gelding reached €7,000 as a yearling. Shaped as if needing the experience when ninth of 15 in maiden at Roscommon (7.4f, good to soft) on debut 51 days ago.
Summer Sent You (IRE)
€20,000 yearling, resold €20,000 yearling, Harry Angel filly. Given a considerate introduction when twelfth of 16 in maiden (33/1) at Gowran (7f, good to firm) on debut 8 days ago. Likely one for the longer term.
Banks Of The Boyne (IRE)
Much improved when ½-length second on qualifying run at Fairyhouse (6f, 100/1). Backed up that performance when occupying same spot in a Galway nursery (7f) next time and seemed caught out by the drop in trip when fourth of 8 at the Curragh (6f, good) 4 days ago. Sets the standard back up in trip.
Dear Theodosia (IRE)
Footstepsinthesand filly has finished well beaten in 2 maidens.
Romance (GER)
Offered something to work on at huge odds when 6 lengths fifth of 10 on debut at Roscommon in early May but some way below that form when tenth of 15 in maiden at Galway (7f, soft) 20 days ago. Frame claims if able to bounce back.
Essence Of Time
Foaled March 23. 1,000 gns yearling, Palace Pier filly. Dam, French 1m winner (fourth in Prix Saint-Alary) who stayed 1¼m, half-sister to smart winner up to 9f Life In Motion. Yard 1-5 with 2-y-o debutants this season. Cost very little given decent pedigree, so betting may prove best guide.
Lucy's Promise (IRE)
Standout effort when sixth of 17 in maiden at Navan last month. Claims on that form but she ran poorly on nursery debut at the Curragh next time.
Spanish View (IRE)
Phoenix of Spain filly was sold privately for €3,000 as a yearling. Shaped as if needing the experience when ninth of 13 in maiden at Down Royal (7f, soft) on debut 62 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals.
