SUN GODDESS could have been handed a more beneficial draw but Aidan O'Brien's Phoenix Stakes heroine is a clear standout on form and should still prove capable of landing this valuable prize. Satellite of Love can go close in his bid to provide Clive Cox with a fourth consecutive win in this race, while top-weight Tokaido is also highly respected after a pair of Group wins in France.

Timeform Comments

Tokaido
Beaten on debut at Saint-Cloud but has proven progressive when winning all 4 starts since, including a Group 3 at Deauville and the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin (3 ran, 6f, good to firm) at Chantilly last month. Scored in good fashion there and he can go well again despite conceding weight all around.
Furturra
Off the mark at the sixth attempt in a Musselburgh seller before doubling his tally in a Redcar novice. Gave his running when fourth of 8 in nursery (5/1) at this C&D (good to firm) 40 days ago but faces an uphill task on these terms.
Mind Those Steps
Confirmed debut promise when narrowly opening his account at Hamilton in May and wasn't given a hard time after meeting some early interference in a Newcastle novice 4 weeks ago, but that form is a long way off what will be required here.
Where Love Lives (IRE)
Maiden winner at Thirsk on debut and followed up in listed race at Sandown. Possibly did too much too soon when finishing in mid-field in Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and made a sound start for new yard (ex-Kevin Ryan) when 4¼ lengths fourth of 10 in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood 3 weeks ago.
The Bookkeeper (IRE)
Took a step forward from a promising debut when winning 4-runner novice at Haydock (7f). Good efforts since when fourth in the Woodcote at Epsom (6f) and when third in an 18-runner Goodwood nursery (7f) 3 weeks ago, but this is tougher and draw is a negative.
Sun Goddess (IRE)
Caught only in the final 100 yds in the Albany at Royal Ascot before landing a Group 2 at the Curragh a week later. Confirmed herself as one of the leading juveniles when gaining Group 1 success in the Phoenix Stakes there 11 days ago. Draw is a possible negative but she's the clear form pick.
Battle Fever (IRE)
Placed in maidens at Beverley and Hamilton prior to getting off the mark in an 8-runner novice at Thirsk (5f, good, 9/4) 19 days ago. Open to progress but this is a much tougher ask.
Blake's Monarch (IRE)
Just touched off on debut at Wolverhampton (6f) before proving too keen at Chester. Ran well considering proximity to a strong pace when 6½ lengths tenth of 21 to Orthodox in Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f) 61 days ago but more required here (gelded and had a breathing operation since).
Glorious Game
Knew her job in becoming her stable's fifth 2-y-o to make a winning debut this year at Windsor and showed good attitude to force a dead heat in Newmarket listed race in June. Found things tougher up in grade when 6½ lengths ninth of 11 in Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot (6f) last month.
Innichen (ITY)
No match for subsequent Coventry Stakes runner-up at Newmarket in April. Made the most of a good opportunity at Pontefract before following up in good style on nursery bow at Nottingham and made eye-catching late headway after a slow start when third of 18 in a Glorious Goodwood nursery 3 weeks ago.
It Dunt Marra
Second on Goodwood debut and beaten only 4 lengths when sixth of 8 to Bint Archange in listed race at Sandown (5f) next time before capitalising on the drop back in grade to win a 7-runner novice (6/5) at Lingfield (5f, good to firm) 26 days ago. Will need to improve now up in trip.
Kodiak Breeze (IRE)
Still green but confirmed the promise of his debut when landing a 15-runner event at Redcar (6f, good to firm) in May and responded well to pressure from the front when following up in an 11-runner novice (6/4) at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) 50 days ago. This is tougher again.
Pride Of Toledo (IRE)
No Nay Never colt who shaped well amidst greenness when fifth at Newbury on debut and looked potentially useful when downing another good prospect in 4-runner novice at Salisbury (6f) 26 days ago. Should be even better granted strong pace and holds place claims for yard that has won last 3 runnings.
Quillan (IRE)
Well on top at the finish when making a winning debut at Redcar in June and followed up in straightforward fashion in a 5-runner novice at Ripon last month (both 5f). Bare form there leaves him with a bit to find but he's open to improvement now tackling 6f.
Satellite Of Love (IRE)
Knew his job when winning a 12-runner maiden at Windsor (6f, good to firm) on debut, and stepped up plenty on that form when following up in a 10-runner novice at Newbury (6f, firm) 33 days ago. Has benefit of a good draw and is much respected granted yard's outstanding recent record in this race.
Secret Society (IRE)
Very green on debut at Salisbury and improved from that effort when third of 12 in novice at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 38 days ago, pulling clear with a pair of newcomers. Yard has stronger contenders elsewhere, though.
Thebesthasyetocome (IRE)
Starman colt was a promising third of 8 in maiden at Thirsk (5f, good to soft) on debut and seemed to relish the step up in trip when readily winning a 6-runner maiden at Ayr (6f, good to soft) 61 days ago. Potentially useful sort could outrun likely big odds.
Weekend Roar (IRE)
£105,000 Supremacy colt who shaped with plenty of promise when third of 11 on debut at Salisbury before confirming that potential to win a 6-runner novice at Newmarket. Easy to back and ran to similar level when fourth of 11 in a valuable sales event at Naas (6f, good, 11/2) 17 days ago.
Niewiadoma (IRE)
Overcame inexperience to win 6-runner novice at Thirsk (5f) on her debut but disappointed in listed/Group 2 company on her next 2 starts and was labouring soon after halfway in the Super Sprint at Newbury last month. Blinkers now on.
Rollthedicebaby (IRE)
Showed promise when second on debut at Goodwood in May and built on that when running out a ready winner back there (6f, heavy) in June. On the wrong side of the track in the Super Sprint at Newbury (5f) but was unable to get on terms from rear when sixth of 9 in nursery at Newmarket last time.
Speed Of Sound (IRE)
Fairly useful form when placed over 6f at Newmarket and Ascot (both good to firm) in July and didn't need to improve on those efforts to get off the mark from the front in a 10-runner maiden at Yarmouth (6f, firm) 15 days ago. Has very tricky draw to overcome this time, though.
Vollering (IRE)
Knew her job when winning a 9-runner novice at Redcar (5f) in April. Struggled in Group 3 company next time but has run well both starts in listed company in France since, again showing plenty of speed when third at Deauville (5f) 2 weeks ago. Frame claims.
