Timeform View

KOHANA NATION made it third time lucky on return/turf debut at Doncaster and with further progress on the cards now handicapping, Charlie Hills' colt can follow up at the expense of Bintola, who made a solid start in handicaps back in the spring but needs to leave a lesser effort behind. Zen Diva can edge out Coyy for minor honours.

Timeform Comments

Eternal Solace
Posted a very good second in 6f Newcastle handicap in April. Usually slowly away and took that trait to a new level on both May starts so needs treating with caution on return.
Zen Diva
Made the frame all 3 starts at 2 yrs and opened her account sporting first-time cheekpieces in Ripon novice on return. Doubled her tally in emphatic fashion on handicap debut in 3-runner event at Salisbury (6f) last month but struggled in a big-field Goodwood handicap since. This more suitable.
Bintola
Left her juvenile form well behind when off the mark in 14-runner event on handicap debut at Windsor on reappearance in May. Similar form when fifth at Newmarket next time but performed moderately without an obvious excuse at former course just under 6 weeks ago. Can bounce back.
Inca Heights (IRE)
Debut 5f Newbury winner last April. Failed to kick on after, beating only one rival in a couple of starts this season. Handicapper drops him 4 lb and hopes are pinned on first-time cheekpieces sparking a revival.
Kohana Nation (IRE)
Much improved from debut when second at Newcastle back in December and made the most of a good opportunity dropped in trip/switched to turf after 8 months off when winning 4-runner novice at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) recently. More to come now handicapping.
Havana Smile
Found plenty of improvement dropped to the minimum trip when winning at Salisbury in May, though he did rather get the run of things on the day. Not in the same form on both subsequent outings and returns to 6f for the first time since his debut.
Coyy (IRE)
Off the mark at Windsor in May and doubled his tally in 4-runner contest at Nottingham last month. Found a big-field Goodwood handicap too much to handle just over 3 weeks ago but should find this more suitable. Handicapper rather generously drops him 3 lb.
