Timeform View

Two-time course winner MRS TRUMP may capitalise on an attractive mark with Jason Hart taking over. Little Beck Annie is less exposed than most in this field and feared most. Sparkling Wine, Multaneighttothree and Drish Samphire complete the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Macedonian (IRE)
Has fallen a long way in the weights and turned in his best effort of the season when ¾ lengths second of 13 in first-time visor at Ayr. In the mix again if headgear has a similar effect.
Multaneighttothree (IRE)
Tighter in the market/ridden more positively when close fourth on handicap debut at Newcastle on Thursday. That was his best effort to date and interesting if able to replicate that form on turf debut 2 days on.
Lindoro
Showed promise in a course novice (7f) last summer. Hasn't fired in handicaps for current yard, friendless in betting when trailing the field at Pontefract in late-June (some mitigation for racing up with a solid pace). Now tried in more severe headgear.
Stormy Pearl
C&D winner who got back on track when creditable length third of 9 to Night Emperor here last time. Remains a couple of pounds below last summer's winning mark.
Heathers Feather (IRE)
No impact in a couple of handicap starts, including on first try sprinting at Carlisle 3 days ago. Hopes rest on addition of first-time cheekpieces.
Night Emperor (IRE)
Relatively lightly-raced 4-y-o. Belatedly put it all together to get off the mark by neck from South Shore Island over C&D last time. A 3-lb rise may be enough to prevent a follow up.
Lope Y Linda
Free-going type who's won twice around 7f at Ayr/Catterick this year. Ran her best race returned to sprinting at Thirsk (6f) last time, beaten 2½ lengths under a more measured front-running ride. Player if proving as tractable under returning 7-lb claimer (has won on her previously).
Little Beck Annie
Low-mileage 4-y-o. Much improved in first-time cheekpieces when decisively scoring at Carlisle (6f) before a 5-lb penalty proved beyond her at Newcastle 11 days on. She's been freshened up ahead of this return to turf and will be suited by the likely strong pace. Good claims to resume winning ways.
Drish Samphire (IRE)
Sprang a 50/1 surprise to get off the mark in a 6f classified event at Thirsk last time. Lightly raced for present yard and interesting if building on that returned to handicap company.
Fair Isle Sioux
Very lightly raced for her age. Previously hinted at ability but ran poorly switched to a handicap at Thirsk (7f, 66/1) latest.
South Shore Island (IRE)
Long-standing maiden. Went as close as he has when narrow second to Night Emperor under this claimer here last month. Some mitigation for subsequent below-par effort at Hamilton. Tongue strap now added and could be in the shake-up if things fall right.
Ellie's De Vega
Maiden who proved consistent for Noel Wilson this year. Again ran creditably when 1-length second in classified event here (5f) on stable debut last time. Considered back in a handicap over 6f.
Battenburg Belle (IRE)
Finally gained compensation for a string of runner-up efforts when off the mark at Catterick in June. Back in form and shaped better than the beaten distance when 4¾ lengths third there last time. Entitled to be competitive.
Mrs Trump (IRE)
Now 10 lb lower than when completing a 6f handicap double last summer. Posted a season's best effort here last month before failing to build on that behind Drish Samphire at Thirsk. Booking of Jason Hart catches the eye, and she could be worth another chance in her bid for a third course success.
Indy's Angel
Back to form when second of 18 at Thirsk (6f) last month. Again went close without fully convincing under pressure at Yarmouth last time. Remains with just a sole win to her name but return to big-field handicap may well suit.
Hurstwood
Veteran 3-time C&D winner. Too free on first start in classified company here last time. Isn't one to totally write off back in a handicap.
Rinky Tinky Tinky
Beaten fair and square in a pair of classified events last month. Something to find returning to a handicap.
Ziva's Star
Remains a maiden after 24 Flat runs. Limited appeal returning to handicap in more severe headgear.
Sparkling Wine
Low-mileage 3-y-o seemed to be getting the hang of things when going close at Beverley last month. Likely found the race coming too soon when easy to back at Newcastle latest. Entitled to do better returning to 6f/turf following 4-week break.
Lady Grey
Offered little at long odds in 3 starts. Tricky to assess off basement opening mark and market may prove best guide.
