Timeform View

KARRYGRANT has the best form and promises to be suited by the return to a shorter trip so there ought to be no excuses for him today assuming Ben Coen can get him nicely positioned from the outside stall. Star of Beauty wasn't seen to best effect at Gowran last time and can bounce back and provide the chief threat ahead of Camino Lad, who has ability but also hinted at temperament under pressure last time.

Timeform Comments

Brigerbad (IRE)
66/1, last of 13 in maiden (66/1) at Cork (6f, good to firm) on debut 32 days ago. Significantly up in trip.
Camino Lad (IRE)
Fairly useful form but looked a bit wayward under pressure when fourth of 8 in maiden (11/8) at Killarney (11.3f, good) 43 days ago. Connections have had a big rethink on the trip. Also wears first-time blinkers.
Caption This (IRE)
€1,000 Sands of Mali gelding. Dam, winner up to 8.3f (2-y-o 5f-6f winner), sister to very smart winner up to 1m Champers Elysees. A watching brief is advised on debut.
Karrygrant (IRE)
Fairly useful performer who has placed on 6 of his 8 starts. A bit keen for his own good over 9.5f at Gowran last time and the one to beat back at 1m.
Willofthepeople (IRE)
Promising fourth on 5f debut last June but performed below that level in 2 subsequent starts last year. Has a first-time tongue tie added to the cheekpieces he wore on final 2-y-o outing. This is a slightly belated return and Colin Keane is on the yard's other runner.
Misneach Sile (IRE)
150/1, twelfth of 19 in maiden at Naas (1m, good) on debut 62 days ago. Can only watch after that.
Mosel (IRE)
Last of 7 in maiden at the Curragh (9f, good to firm) on debut 37 days ago but she went off at only 8/1 on that occasion and no shock were she to prove a different proposition second time up.
Orphanina (IRE)
200/1, tenth of 19 in maiden at Naas (1m, good) on debut 62 days ago.
Peshwari Nan (IRE)
More one for low-grade handicaps based on her 2 efforts at Dundalk in February.
Salamina (IRE)
Sottsass filly who has finished well held in 3 maidens in the last fortnight. Passed over until handicapping.
Star Of Beauty (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 9 starts but placed 3 times this summer. Better than she could show at Gowran last time and Billy Lee returns to the saddle now.
Sweetie Too (IRE)
Little impact in 1m maidens at Gowran and Naas this summer.
Tax Me Later (IRE)
€24,000 Lucky Vega filly. Dam, French 11.5f winner, sister to smart 1m/9f winner Pilote and half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m Damysus. The betting should help guide to expectations.
Whatsin The Stars (IRE)
Starman filly who has been well held on both starts and looks booked for another struggle.
Wooloongabba (IRE)
Showed only greenness in maidens at Navan and the Curragh last month.
