Timeform View

With only one having had a previous race, preference is for BATTLEWORTHY, who makes plenty of appeal on paper and can add to his trainer's superb run of form. Kingdom of Kush also represents a yard going great guns at present and is next on the list, ahead of Saturn Star.

Timeform Comments

Battleworthy (IRE)
Foaled January 15. €85,000 yearling, Invincible Army colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful winner up to 1m Eternal Elixir (2-y-o 7.4f winner) and winner up to 1¼m Bodorgan (2-y-o 7f winner). Noteworthy newcomer for in-form trainer.
Darjeel (AUS)
Foaled March 22. Lucky Vega colt. Dam, Canadian 2-y-o 1m winner, sister to useful French 10.4f/11f winner Hidden Dimples. The market could be informative.
Epistle
Foaled April 23. 5,000 gns yearling (private sale), Pinatubo colt. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m (Celebration Mile) Dubawi Gold.
Kingdom Of Kush (IRE)
Foaled April 30. €82,000 yearling, €120,000 2-y-o, Sioux Nation colt. Dam lightly-raced half-sister to useful 1m-2m winner (stayed 2½m) Sam Missile out of useful 2-y-o 6f/7f winner Kitty Matcham. Merits consideration with yard amongst the winners.
Martaban
Foaled April 6. 68,000 gns foal, 90,000 gns yearling, Kameko colt. Half-brother to several winners, notably smart 1m-1¼m winner Notre Belle Bete. Dam maiden (best effort at 1m). Could go well first time up.
Saturn Star (IRE)
Foaled March 15. €70,000 yearling, 125,000 gns 2-y-o, Starspangledbanner colt. Half-brother to 7f/1m winner Sea Suite. Dam, 13f winner, half-sister to 8.3f-1½m winner Ayrad and winner up to 9.5f Dawn of Hope (both smart). Interesting on debut.
Scythe (IRE)
Foaled February 14. Victor Ludorum gelding. Dam, third at 7f on sole start, out of useful winner up to 8.5f (2-y-o 7f winner) Colour Blue.
Tom Thumb
Foaled May 10. Tasleet gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 5f/6f winners King Robert and Son of Africa. Dam unraced.
Uncle Zello
Looked very much in need of the experience making his first start when eleventh of 12 in novice at Kempton (7f) a week ago. Likely to need more time.
