HOWLIN WOLF continued a theme of race-by-race progression when opening his account on nursery debut at the Curragh recently and with better still to come, Jack Davison's charge earns the tentative nod to follow up. There are plenty of nursery debutants in opposition however, Supreme Lord and Prince of Peppard the pair put forward to chase him home before the benefit of market clues.

Timeform Comments

Supreme Lord (IRE)
Promise when third on 6f Fairyhouse debut early last month. Well held when fast tracked to Group company next start and again failed to convince with his stamina for 7f when fifth of 11 in maiden at the Curragh 18 days ago. Could make more of an impact dropped back in trip for nursery bow.
Howlin Wolf (IRE)
Improved with each run and took a sizeable step forward to get off the mark switched to nurseries in 8-runner event at the Curragh 11 days ago, benefiting as expected from the return to 6f and probably helped by bagging the stand side rail. 7 lb higher mark to defy but should go close.
Someday Somewhere (IRE)
Acquitted herself well all 3 starts to date, shaping better than the distance beaten suggests when fourth of 12 in maiden at Roscommon (7.5f, good) 9 days ago, going well when no room early in straight. Back sprinting for this nursery debut.
Prince Of Peppard (IRE)
Proving consistent rather than progressive, in first-time cheekpieces when seventh of 12 in maiden at Roscommon (7.5f, good) 9 days ago. Returns to a sprint trip and likely to be seen in better light now tackling a nursery. Trainer/jockey combination won this last year.
Two Brigade (IRE)
Bred to make a speedy 2-y-o and wasn't seen to best effect in first-time cheekpieces when eighth of 12 on nursery debut at Sligo (6f, good to soft) just over 3 weeks ago, meeting some trouble over 1f out. Booking of Keane a plus but work to do from this mark.
Lucy's Promise (IRE)
Standout effort when sixth of 17 in maiden over C&D early last month. Needs a return to this venue to spark a revival on her second start in a nursery.
No Time Faults (IRE)
Sent off huge prices and always behind in 3 maidens/nursery. Hopes pinned on first-time blinkers.
Little Diva (IRE)
Hooded and showed promise from a poor position on qualifying run when tenth of 18 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, good) 11 days ago, left with a lot to do. Worth keeping an eye on now tackling a nursery.
