Timeform View

ALTO SAX has been better than the result on his last 2 outings and continues to look fairly treated on the form of his near miss at Leopardstown last month. Good Man Jack shaped quite nicely at Galway on his handicap debut given he met a bit of trouble on the home turn and this unexposed sort is second choice ahead of Colin Keane's mount Kc Bear, whose overall consistency since handicapping provides hope that he can bounce back from a lesser effort last time.

Timeform Comments

Bill Silvers
Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. Visored first time, went backwards from reappearance when 4½ lengths fifth of 15 to Minaun View in claimer at Gowran (1m, good to firm) 15 days ago.
Bundle Of Interest (IRE)
Improved on previous efforts this term when creditable 1¼ lengths seventh of 13 to Comfort Line in handicap (17/2) at the Curragh (1m, good) 11 days ago. Overall strike rate is rather off-putting, however.
Minaun View
Third claiming success of the summer when seeing off 14 rivals at Gowran (1m, good to firm) 15 days ago. More on her plate back in a handicap but the Ado McGuinness stable is enjoying a good spell.
In A Hurry
Thirsk maiden winner last summer but 0-8 in handicaps for David O'Meara since. New connections acquired her for 9,000 gns last month.
Gloriously Glam (IRE)
C&D winner. Latest win at Gowran in May. 25/1, first run since leaving Ado McGuinness when twelfth of 13 in handicap at Galway (7f, good) 26 days ago.
Tofino (IRE)
Twelve runs since last win in 2025. Shaped better than bare result when eighth of 13 in handicap at the Curragh (1m, good) 11 days ago, headway when short of room 2f out .
Go Out (FR)
Good 3 lengths third of 14 to Minaun View in claimer at Killarney (1m, good) 43 days ago, never nearer. Stable in good form.
Good Man Jack (IRE)
Fair maiden. 18/1, creditable eighth of 18 on handicap debut at Galway (8.4f, soft) 27 days ago, having to pick way through. Much less exposed than most of these. On the shortlist.
Marambo (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Down the field in handicaps at Killarney and the Curragh (1m, good, 125/1) this summer so his claims aren't obvious.
Kc Bear (IRE)
Progressed again when getting off the mark in 6f handicap at Dundalk in December. Good in-frame efforts on first 3 outings this year and the type to bounce back from a lesser run on all-weather last time (reported to have coughed post race). Colin Keane retains the ride.
Alto Sax (IRE)
Latest win at Fairyhouse in June. Also a good second at Leopardstown (9f) in July and not seen to best effect on both outings since. Might prove the answer.
Cordouan (FR)
Thirteen runs since last win in 2024 and hasn't threatened in 3 outings this year, albeit he did meet trouble last time.
Nephin Mountain (IRE)
Winner at Ballinrobe in July. Respectable fifth of 15 in handicap at Gowran (9.5f, good to firm, 10/1) 15 days ago.
Lohengrin
Belatedly off the mark in a Laytown maiden (7f) last September but struggled to replicate that subsequently despite plummeting handicap mark. Finished mid-division at Bellewstown on Tuesday.
