TASKHEER hasn't won for a while, but the switch to Gary & Josh Moore catches the eye so he could be worth taking a chance on in this basement-grade affair. Freedom Bay has really found her feet for new connections, so she can give the selection most to think about, with Pride Eye and Rogers Dream another couple fancied to be in the shake up, too.

Timeform Comments

Freedom Bay
Has reacted well to a tongue strap and cheekpieces combination, winning handicap at Bath (1m, good) and placed on both subsequent outings, most recently when second of 11 in similar event at Windsor (1¼m, good to firm) earlier in the month. In the mix again.
Iftikhaar (IRE)
Went close in similar event over C&D in January but last 2 runs have been poor (latest in a higher grade following an 8-week break at Leicester in the spring). Overall strike rate (1-37) makes it easy to look elsewhere returning from 4 months off.
Kaaress (IRE)
Ended long losing run over C&D in January. One of her better performances when fourth of 9 at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in April but ran poorly 4 months on at Windsor (1¼m, good to firm) recently.
Kev
Has offered little since going handicapping, again running to just a poor level on first start for new connections when fifth of 10 at Ffos Las (1m, good to firm) recently. Upped in trip and drops into this grade for the first time.
Lady Aiyana
Close third over C&D for the Kublers' last autumn and turned in best effort of the season from her reduced mark when dead-heating for second of 12 over C&D just over a fortnight ago. Needs to build on that returned to classified company.
Pride Eye
Caused 66/1 shock over 1m at Southwell in January. Showed a bit more upped in trip and switched to turf both outings last month but failed to see out the 1½m trip when fifth of 10 in similar event at this course 9 days ago. Better anticipated returned to 1¼m.
Rogers Dream
NON RUNNER.
Senseofentitlement (IRE)
Ran better than at any stage over the last couple of years when a never-nearer fifth at Kempton in March but ran so sort of race 8 weeks later at this track (7.6f). Off since and looks an easy swerve given his profile.
Sharma D'amour
Sole success came on handicap debut but stepped forward from her reappearance run when second of 14 at Bath in April, despite having been left with too much to do. Failed to give her running back up in grade the following month and has been off since.
Sunset In Paris (IRE)
Won a Wolverhampton classified event last summer but generally more miss than hit since, including over hurdles. Withdrawn after proving unruly at the start at Huntingdon at the end of May and has finished down the field at Yarmouth the last twice. Headgear discarded but hard to recommend.
Taskheer (IRE)
Fifteen runs since last win in early-2025. In good form on the all-weather last winter but proved no threat when last seen at Wolverhampton back in June. Interesting trainer change so he could be worth taking a chance on returned to 1¼m.
Versatile (IRE)
Bits and pieces of promise on the level before blotting his copybook by refusing to race at Leicester in May. Has one standout effort over hurdles in 5 runs since and isn't a reliable betting proposition at present for all this is his first start in classified company.
Ernie Mccrew (IRE)
Had been struggling in handicaps but ran his best race to place for the first time when second of 7 at this course (1m) 9 days ago. His task is to now back that up dropped into classified company.
Maryland Star
Has struggled in handicaps and fared no better down in grade when seventh of 11 in classified event at Windsor (1¼m, good to firm) earlier in the month. Easy to look elsewhere.
