NOUR brings a positive profile to nurseries, building on her debut effort when posting a very good third in a York novice 33 days ago. Starting out in handicaps from what looks a workable mark and open to further progress, she shades preference over recent Wolverhampton scorer Trust Yourself. Lord Ragnar is another to consider in what is an interesting race of its type.

Statten Island could be expected to race prominently. Of those in the front half of the betting forecast, Nour might be well positioned in a slowly run affair: Of the better-fancied horses, Trust Yourself is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Furturra
Already had plenty of racing this season but he found some improvement when doubling his tally in a Redcar novice (6f) in June. Similar form in defeat tackling stronger company on his next 2 starts and he'll find this much more suitable than his assignment in the York sales race last week.
Persian Land (IRE)
Overcame a pace bias to make a winning debut at Haydock (6f, soft) in May and nearly followed up at Ffos Las in June. Ran poorly on firmer ground and in first-time visor (now discarded) when well held at Beverley later that month but given a break ahead of this nursery debut and type to bounce back.
Nour (IRE)
Dandy Man filly who offered something to work on when third on debut in a Redcar maiden in May and she improved after 8 weeks off when filling same spot at York (6f) 33 days ago, throwing down a strong challenge and losing out only late on. Very interesting on nursery bow with more to come.
Too Many Spirits
Fair form on 4 of his 5 starts to date, taking a small step forward quickly back sprinting when running out a 2-length winner of a C&D maiden 5 weeks ago. This looks tougher now making nursery debut, however.
Statten Island (IRE)
Son of Starspangledbanner who has yet to match the form of May's promising debut fourth at York (6f) in 2 subsequent maiden/novice runs. However, gelded since last seen and he has a bit about him physically, so one to note in the betting for a positive move now attentions switch to nurseries.
Lord Ragnar (IRE)
Progressed with each of his 3 starts in maidens, successful at Newcastle (7f) in June. Again ran well when second of 5 in nursery at Lingfield (7f) on penultimate start and proved too keen on first attempt at 1m when fourth at Newmarket 3 weeks ago. Bounce back likely returned to sprinting.
Trust Yourself (IRE)
Showed a bit more than previously when sixth on qualifying run in a Windsor novice (5f) in June and proved a totally different proposition following breathing operation/8-week break when easily landing a Wolverhampton nursery (6f) 10 days ago. Needs respecting under a penalty.
