A few with chances but CRAFTY BLUE rates the pick of the weights on the back of an excellent Haydock second so is fancied to quickly resume winning ways and thwart the C&D hat-trick seeking Madman. Angel Gabriel is less exposed and could also have a say, with Moving Force completing the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Moving Force (IRE)
Missed the whole of last season but back to his best when twice runner-up for new yard this season, clear of rest on latter occasion in 6f Wolverhampton handicap 29 days ago. Not out of things.
Star Chorus (IRE)
Won twice at Southwell (5f/6f) this winter. In good form of late until only eleventh of 16 in valuable handicap over C&D (good to firm) 19 days ago. The sort to bounce back.
Tyger Bay
Resumed winning ways at Chelmsford (6f) in March. Only twice raced since and posted a good second of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, heavy) in June, clear of rest. Considered.
Angel Gabriel (IRE)
Landed the odds in 6f novice at Lingfield in December. Back in good form when in the frame in handicaps at Kempton (7f) and Epsom (6f) recently. Very much one to consider with relatively few miles still on the clock.
Saucy Jane
Isn't easy to catch right but readily made it 2 wins from her last 3 runs in 5-runner handicap over C&D (good to firm) 26 days ago. Well in the mix if on her A-game again.
Lil Brother
Landed 5f nursery at Windsor last summer. However, ended the year out of form and offered little on the back of a breathing operation when seventh of 10 in handicap at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) on his return 22 days ago.
Hk Fourteen (IRE)
Won 3 times at 5f in 2025. Fared better than previously this season in refitted cheekpieces when fourth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) 29 days ago. Needs considering with headgear again sported.
Crafty Blue (IRE)
On the up since cheekpieces went on and doubled her tally in 6f handicap at Leicester in July. Excellent second of 8 at Haydock (7f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago when conceding first run to winner. Big shout.
Madman
Much improved of late and bids for a C&D hat-trick following a ready victory 16 days ago. Hiked up 8 lb and in a tougher race but has to be considered.
