EVENING CALL should have learnt plenty from her recent encouraging Newmarket debut and is taken to get off the mark. Tropical Sands may provide the chief threat of those with experience, whilst the newcomers Marquetry and Queen of Scotland both appeal on paper.

Timeform Comments

Aunt Roberta (IRE)
Promising sort who took a step forward from debut when fourth of 5 in novice at Newbury (1¼m, firm) 42 days ago. Should have more to offer.
Chimes Of Thunder (GER)
Posted fair form in all 4 starts this season, latest when creditable third of 8 in maiden at Wolverhampton 30 days ago, having run of race. Ought to be in the mix again.
Evening Call
Made appeal on pedigree and shaped with promise when last of 3 in novice (11/2) at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) on debut 15 days ago. Likely to improve.
Marquetry (IRE)
Sottsass filly. Half-sister to 1¼m-1½m winner Kalaoun. Dam, 2-y-o 9.5f winner who stayed 1½m, half-sister to useful 2-y-o 7f winner Encipher. Highly respected on debut.
Mathoura (IRE)
Made the frame on first 2 starts for Jessica Harrington in May but proved disappointing at the Curragh last month and is likely best watched on debut for new yard here.
Pseudonym (IRE)
Ran green and finished well held in novice at Newbury on debut 79 days ago. Likely to need more time.
Queen Of Scotland
58,000 gns yearling, Pinatubo filly. Needs monitoring in market on debut.
Tropical Sands
Promise amidst inexperience when reaching the frame in novices at Lingfield and Newbury at the start of the summer and only just failed to open his account at Haydock (1¼m, good to firm) 22 days ago. Likely contender.
