Timeform View

GLEN NEVIS showed improved form when beaten only by a progressive type at Newmarket 9 days ago, so he could be ready to go one better with cheekpieces now added. Next on the list is Mount King who wasted no time getting back to form at Redcar last week, with Borjina also considered having had excuses on her latest outing.

Timeform Comments

Good Morning Alex
Back to his best when dead-heating at Ripon (1m) last spring. However, has struggled for form this year, down the field at Ayr in May on latest outing. Continues to fall in the weights but others more persuasive at present.
Regalian
Without a win since debut when trained by William Haggas. No better than mid-division for current yard this season, though shaped better than last few starts when 3½ lengths sixth of 10 at Redcar 7 days ago.
Style Of Life (IRE)
Recorded back-to-back wins at Chester and Pontefract last summer. However, well held on this season's return and, after a further 3 months off, fared no better at Thirsk 15 days ago. Cheekpieces now added.
Glen Nevis
Making third handicap start, took his form up a notch when second of 7 at Newmarket 9 days ago, worn down only in the final strides. Expected to be bang there with cheekpieces on first time.
Glorious Kitty (IRE)
Won handicaps at Ayr and Carlisle in May. Ran well in her hat-trick bid when second back at Ayr, but found run of good form coming to a halt when sixth of 9 at Ripon in July. Given a longer break since then.
Coolree (IRE)
4-time C&D winner, including twice in May, and has finished runner-up here twice since. Below form last 2 starts though hasn't entirely been seen to best effect, going off too hard when well held at Pontefract on latest outing. Not ruled out back at this track.
Borjina
Confirmed debut promise on return when winning a Catterick novice in April. Good second in handicap at Doncaster (7f) in July, before meeting trouble in the closing stages when fifth of 7 at Redcar (1m) last time. Should be suited by this far and is worth another chance.
Sandy Craic (IRE)
Showed a likeable attitude when opening her account at Carlisle (7f) in June and has continued in good heart since, not getting the clearest of passages when third of 6 at Haydock (1m) 3 weeks ago.
Tarmonbarry Kid (IRE)
Much improved with reappearance run behind him when winning handicap at Doncaster in May. Found things tougher upped in grade when third of 6 at Hamilton a month later, but it remains early days as he takes on his elders for the first time.
Mount King (IRE)
Switched to blinkers when getting off the mark for the season at Pontefract in July. Good second at the same course next time and soon left behind a lesser effort when making the frame at Redcar 7 days ago. Could be thereabouts.
Filey Beach (IRE)
Landed back-to-back 7f handicaps at Catterick in May and made the frame twice on all-weather since. Had the run of the race when 2 lengths fourth of 5 at Musselburgh 22 days ago, but likely to face competition up front here in this higher grade.
Cobalt Comet
Gained a first success when making all in handicap at Leicester in June, the runner-up scoring next time. Wasn't in the same form when mid-field at Southwell a month ago, though was possibly unsuited by the switch to more patient tactics.
