Timeform View

MAGNA could be the answer to a tricky sprint puzzle. Control Room's sole previous success came on soft ground, and she's feared if the worst of the rain arrives. Last year's winner Some Nightmare also needs considering.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Some Nightmare traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Magna
Notched a fourth win of the year (3-3 under the returning Rossa Ryan) at Wolverhampton (6f) in May. Belatedly confirmed her effectiveness on turf when 1¼ lengths fourth (third won since) in a slightly better race at Windsor (good to firm) last time. Good claims if handling contrasting conditions.
Control Room
Consistent, front-running filly. Won a soft-ground Catterick maiden on final start for Robert Cowell. Split a trio of next-time-out winners on stable debut before chasing home one on the up at Nottingham last month. Makes appeal following creditable 4½-length fourth in a better C&D event latest.
Level Up (IRE)
Gained reward for his consistency when off the mark for the season over C&D last month. Hasn't built on that in 2 starts since, however, he handles conditions and cannot be discounted if perked up by a change of headgear.
Savannah Smiles (IRE)
C&D winner who was back to her best when successful from a 4 lb lower mark at Lingfield (6f) in June. Excuses 2 of her 3 starts since, and she's a player if on a going day.
Connie's Rose
A 7-time course winner who is 3 lb lower than when notching a fourth C&D success (heavy) this time last year. However, she's been operating below her best in recent starts, again finishing a well-held third here on Saturday.
Double Naughty (IRE)
Hasn't kicked on from her successful stable debut at Bath (6f) in May. Still relatively lightly raced, though, and now 2 lb below that winning mark.
Some Nightmare (IRE)
Veteran 3-time C&D winner whose latest success came in this corresponding event 12 months ago. He's 6 lb lower now and was only beaten by an improver when runner-up here (6f) last time.
