Timeform View

Competitive stuff but FRATAS hasn't been with her excellent yard for long and given a short break, she makes plenty of appeal. Youcansaythatagain and Stellar Moment bring unexposed profiles to the table and they are a couple of potential threats.

Royal Saxo traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 4 starts: Letiza has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Sea Eagle
Last success came back here in 2024. Respectable second of 14 in novice hurdle at Wexford 24 days ago and task is to back that up returned to the level.
Superficial (FR)
Posted a career-best effort when getting off the mark in decisive style over C&D in May. Didn't jump well enough over hurdles at Punchestown in June and latest effort on the level suggests new mark is high enough.
Thyer
Fourteen runs since last win in 2024 but didn't do a lot wrong when second of 12 in handicap at the Curragh (1¼m, good) 15 days ago. Back up in trip and he can make his presence felt. Headgear left off.
Fratas (IRE)
Shaped well on the back of a recent Flat spin for new yard when second in a big-field mares handicap hurdle at Galway last month. Race 3 days later may have come too soon and she's well worth another chance on the back of a month off.
Neptunes Staircase (IRE)
Very lightly-raced 6-y-o who got off the mark in 14-runner C&D maiden in July 2024. Low-key reappearance was understandable and this will reveal a lot more.
Royal Saxo (FR)
Fairly useful form in France, winning a pair of claimers last year and offered more encouragement than previously for current yard upped markedly in trip when fifth of 9 in handicap at Ballinrobe (13f). Similar form at Galway since.
Merlin The Wizard
Capitalised on a drop in grade when ending long losing run in a Limerick claimer before seen to maximum effect when following up back in a handicap at Ballinrobe (1¼m) in June. Unable to continue the good work since, albeit race wasn't run to suit last time.
Zoffman (IRE)
Eighteen runs since last win in 2022 but he did take a small step back in the right direction with cheekpieces on when creditable third of 8 in handicap at Tramore (2m, good to soft) 16 days ago, not ideally placed. Back down in trip.
Faro Island
Doubled his tally at Gowran (9.5f) in June. Struggled in the face of stiffer task next twice but back in his pay grade and he took full advantage at Galway a month ago. 7 lb rise makes life tough.
Flying Fortress
Won twice for current yard last season, including handicap at Listowel in September. In blinkers, bounced back from a lesser effort when 4 lengths eighth of 15 at Gowran (9.5f) and he built on that when finding only one too good here later in June.
Youcansaythatagain (IRE)
Ghaiyyath colt who built on debut promise with cosy win in 7-runner maiden at Down Royal in July. Improved again when fifth on handicap debut at the Curragh and upped in trip, he has a different profile to these.
Letiza (IRE)
Cemented a solid start for this yard when filling the frame again at the Curragh last week. Can give it another good go.
Stellar Moment (IRE)
Continued theme of race-by-race progress when landing a 16-runner maiden at Galway (1½m, soft) 31 days ago. Opening mark calls for more but she's clearly unexposed.
Adel (GER)
Upped markedly in trip and produced a big career best when winning 13-runner C&D handicap in May, always holding on. Took a strong hold and clearly wasn't right when heavily eased back here a month later. Given plenty of time off.
Lord Aus (IRE)
Posted an excellent third of 12 on handicap debut at Down Royal (10.5f) in May and relished the step up in trip when building on that promise to win a 16-runner event at Limerick (1½m). Similar form back in maiden company at Leopardstown.
Ryefield Dasher (IRE)
Showed fair form at best as a juvenile. Low-key start to career in handicaps but on the back of a breathing operation, he offered more at Galway last month.
Summer Snow (IRE)
Best effort for some time when third of 16 in handicap at this course (1½m, good) 13 days ago. RESERVE.
Duke Of Leggagh (IRE)
C&D winner. 50/1, last of 16 in handicap at this course (1½m, good) 13 days ago. Yet to fire this season. RESERVE.
L'un Deux Trois (IRE)
Blinkers on for the first time in this code and produced a career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Gowran (12.5f, good) 24 days ago, having run of race. RESERVE.
