Timeform View

THE COBBLERS WIFE showed much-improved form starting out for this yard when landing a gamble over hurdles at Tramore and she remains of interest going chasing for the first time. Fellow chasing newcomer Run For The Border is a potential threat, while King's Son shaped well for a long way at Roscommon.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Run For The Border traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 4 of its last 5 starts: Gorthill traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP, 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Driveonwill (IRE)
Proved a different proposition to previously when winning maiden chase over C&D in May. Likely to have gone close when unseating rider 2 out in handicap there 3 weeks later but disappointed at Galway since.
Gorthill (FR)
Step back in the right direction off much-reduced mark when second at Kilbeggan 10 days ago and remains potentially well treated if building on that.
Kalsman (IRE)
Made all over hurdles at Down Royal in April. Below form since but did at least offer something to work on when third in a maiden here on chase bow in June.
Run For The Border (IRE)
Limerick maiden hurdle winner last autumn. Has been holding her form well in handicaps this summer and she's a player if taking to fences at the first attempt.
Full Noise (IRE)
C&D winner who has been given a chance by the handicapper and shaped as if retaining much of his ability on the back of another stable switch after 25 months off when third at Roscommon 4 weeks ago, making most in first-time headgear.
Wing Back (IRE)
Landed a gamble in maiden hurdle here a year ago. However, has been well below par since falling at Clonmel in October, including both starts over fences this summer.
My Cullen (IRE)
Still a maiden but returned to form from out of the blue when second at Kilbeggan, not going down without a fight once headed on the run-in having made most. Shaped well for most of the way when fourth at Tramore since.
Our Zebo (IRE)
Three-time winner over hurdles, including here a year ago. Not as good over fences but much lower mark reflects that and he looked rusty after 11 months off at Kilbeggan 10 days ago.
My Policy (IRE)
Runner-up in handicaps in 2024/5 but hasn't shown anything either start since returning from a long absence.
Not So Serious (IRE)
Caused a surprise in first-time headgear when off the mark in 15-runner handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe last month. Again proved easy to back sent chasing at Tramore next time but shaped as if still in good heart prior to unseating at the eleventh.
King's Son (FR)
Maiden who didn't find much having shaped as if ahead of his mark for much of the way in first-time headgear at Roscommon 4 weeks ago. Mark has eased again.
The Cobblers Wife (IRE)
Low-mileage 8-y-o who proved a different proposition returning from 3 months off for a new yard (formerly with Gordon Michael Doyle) when landing a gamble at Tramore 18 days ago. Sure to go well again from such a low base if taking to this sphere at the first time of asking.
Deadheat (FR)
Veteran who has been very lightly raced in recent seasons and made his first impact for a while fitted with headgear when third at Kilbeggan 10 days ago. The quick turnaround is the main concern.
Nobody (IRE)
Limited maiden who ran one of his better races when fifth of 16 at Cork this month but made an inauspicious start over fences at Tramore 2 weeks ago.
Baltinglass Hill (IRE)
Losing run is mounting up and he ran no sort of race at Punchestown when last seen in May.
Annarubyrose (IRE)
Maiden but form has been better this summer and shaped as if still in form at Wexford last time(inadequate test). Makes chase debut. RESERVE.
