Timeform View

DONNA NOOK is back on the mark she defied here in June and may be able to deny Garden Oasis an eighth C&D success. Milford Grange and Paroda Diva complete the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Garden Oasis traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Garden Oasis
Seven-time C&D winner who has recorded 3 placed efforts here this season, including last time. Takes a slight drop in grade here and capable of a bold bid.
Donna Nook
Back to winning ways over C&D (good to firm) in June. Creditable third of 15 in handicap at Thirsk (1m, good, 7/1) 18 days ago. Back on the mark she defied here in June. Gets the vote.
Catton Lady
Back on the scoresheet at Ayr (7f, good) 22 days ago. Ought to remain competitive off 4 lb higher but her overall record doesn't point to her following up.
Kiss Me My Love (IRE)
Two 1m Redcar wins this year, the latter at the end of July. Respectable third of 11 in handicap at Southwell (1m) 26 days ago, unable to sustain effort.
Bellasio (IRE)
Has a fine Carlisle record and proved at least as good as ever to get off the mark for the year in 8-runner event there (9f, good) in July. Ran as if amiss at Wolverhampton later that month and freshened up since.
Thornaby Annie (IRE)
Opened her account at Wetherby (1m) in June. Good second at Beverley next time but well behind Kiss Me My Love at Redcar since. Widest stall could be tricky.
Hopeful Joy
Placed in C&D maiden/novice events last summer. Bit better than result (not clear run) when fifth of 9 in C&D handicap (good) 57 days ago. Not discounted.
Milford Grange
Maiden but runner-up 3 times in a row earlier in the season, including 6f here. Creditable fourth of 12 in handicap at Ayr (7f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Can make presence felt.
Paroda Diva (IRE)
Improved form for new connections when doubling her tally in a handicap at Haydock (1m, good to soft) in May. Ran at least as well when runner-up at Ripon (1m, good to firm) in June and better than result (hampered) when sixth back from a break at Ayr 3 weeks ago. One to consider.
Zermatt Star (IRE)
Maiden who was a creditable fourth of 5 in 1m Hamilton handicap on first run for this stable but well beaten on all-weather at Southwell since. Has first-time cheekpieces added here.
G'emmethegreenlite (IRE)
In the frame in novice company for Adrian Keatley last season but well held in 2 handicaps for Seb Spencer this year 4 months apart.
Gunalt Wavelength
Bagged back-to-back handicaps here (6f) and Doncaster (7f) at the start of the summer. Found life harder in a warm 3-y-o only race at York (7f) last time but should find life a bit easier now taking on her elders. First attempt at 1m.
Penny Ghent
Thrived in refitted headgear of late, landing back-to-back handicaps over C&D and at Beverley. Creditable third of 7 at Redcar (1m, good) 34 days ago. Handily drawn for a front-runner.
