Timeform View

FEDERAL ENVOY has had excuses on all 3 starts since his good second at Ripon in June and could well be worth chancing from his reduced mark in a switch of headgear. Nutcracker has been running well in classified company of late and heads up the dangers back in a handicap. Velvet Skies and R P McMurphy complete the dangers.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Our Nicola traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Velvet Skies (IRE)
Fair 6/7f winner in Ireland who made a bright start for new yard when chasing home a subsequent winner over C&D in July. Failed to replicate that returned to 6f at Ayr 3 weeks ago but bounce back certainly not ruled out back on all-weather.
R P Mcmurphy
Dual winner over 8.6f here last winter who showed the benefit of a recent run when staying on for third over same C&D 33 days ago, staying on having missed the break. Will likely need a good pace to aim at now dropped back to 7f.
Federal Envoy (IRE)
All 3 wins over 7f at Southwell. Runner-up at Ripon in June and excuses on all 3 starts since, badly hampered when ninth of 14 in handicap back at first-named venue 16 days ago. Visor goes on in place of cheekpieces and he's worth considering from this sort of mark.
Court Of Session
C&D winner who capitalised on a falling mark at Nottingham in June. Down the field all 3 starts since, faring no better back on all-weather at Lingfield last time. Needs to bounce back.
Renewable Dream
Maiden who attracted some support down in to 0-60 company and stepped up on his stable debut effort when third at Carlisle (7f) 2 weeks ago. Handicapper relinquishes his grip further ahead of this and he's not out of things back on all-weather.
Nutcracker
Gained a first win at the thirteenth attempt in 7-runner classified event here (8.6f) in July and backed that up under a penalty when second in similar company at Lingfield (1m) later that month. Very much respected as an in-form sort back in a handicap.
Mythical Isle (IRE)
Capitalised on the drop into classified company for the first time over C&D in June. Had a hopeless task from his position next time but didn't entirely convince with his application when fifth in a C&D handicap 33 days ago.
Mintana
Course winner who got back on the scoresheet at Lingfield (7f) in February. Posted best effort since when third over C&D in June and had excuses having been caught wide from the worst of the draw over 6f here last time. Still, others preferred on balance for win purposes.
Our Nicola
Modest maiden who ran up to her best on the back of 7 months off when third of 9 in handicap at Carlisle (7f) 2 weeks ago, no extra final 100 yds having made the running. Possible she'll come on from that but others look to hold more solid claims nevertheless.
