HOPE RISING has been hit with an 8 lb hike but Jamie Snowden's thriving mare still looks hard to beat here as she bids to extend her winning sequence to four. Ed Walker's Thirsk scorer La Peregrina appeals as the one to chase her home.

Timeform Comments

Hope Rising (IRE)
A 3-time winner over hurdles who has thrived on the Flat in recent weeks, emphatically scoring from the front at Lingfield and Nottingham (2m) before easily landing a match at Chepstow (1½m). Up 8 lb but still the one to beat.
Percy Jones
Has won 4 times at Wolverhampton and ran another good race when fourth of 9 there (1¾m) 14 days ago. Looks vulnerable here.
La Peregrina
First past post (demoted after causing interference) at Goodwood in June and gained a first win in 4-runner handicap at Thirsk (1½m, good) 31 days ago. Should go well again on polytrack debut.
Celestarak (IRE)
Much improved in a first-time hood when getting off the mark at Goodwood (1½m) in June. Evens, seemed unsuited by the steady gallop when last of 5 in handicap at Epsom (1½m, good to firm) following month. Not written off after just six runs.
St Hilda (IRE)
Fair maiden. Back on track with third of 12 in novice at Kempton (1½m) 13 days ago. Not dismissed if her stamina holds out over this longer trip.
