Timeform View

FORTITUDINE and Shadow Road won C&D novices on the same card 4 weeks ago. The latter had something to spare and looks useful but Godolphin's charge scored by a margin rarely seen in these sort of races and is likely to make it 2-2.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Fortitudine traded at a high of 3.40 and Betfair SP of 5.60 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Anchor
Tailed off in a bumper and C&D novice (behind Fortitudine). First-time blinkers need to have a transformative effect.
Fortitudine (IRE)
Rebel's Romance's brother looked something out of the ordinary when pulling 21 lengths clear on his C&D debut 4 weeks ago. Can't be opposed.
No Ordinary Joe (IRE)
Still capable of fairly useful form over hurdles for Faye Bramley last season but offered little on his belated Flat debut over C&D for new yard last month, well beaten by Shadow Road.
Shadow Road (IRE)
Left June's 7f debut well behind when comfortably winning a C&D novice 4 weeks ago, proving well suited by the much longer trip. Should have more to offer but whether he can seriously trouble Fortitudine is another matter.
Brave Hunter
Fairly useful maiden. Good enough to win a race but he comes up against a smart prospect on his all-weather debut. Visored first time.
Roxy Power (USA)
$350,000 Justify gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including smart US 1m/9f winner Cafe Americano. Makes plenty of paper appeal for a good stable but he makes his debut in a tough race.
