Timeform View

The finale can go the way of BELLE AMIE, who got back on track when third at Lingfield last time despite racing closer to the pace than ideal. She can go on to land a third win of the campaign, though Shaffron has possibilities after showing better signs on her latest outing, with Offiah's Boy also in the mix.

Timeform Comments

Shaffron
Still looking for a breakthrough success, but shaped with more encouragement than on reappearance when length third of 6 at Salisbury in May. Off since but she's eased another 1 lb in the weights so looks to be on a workable mark.
Jodhpur Blue (FR)
Yet to win in handicaps but runner-up on all-weather 3 times this year. Has a lower mark to contend with on turf and ran creditably when third of 8 in amateur riders handicap at Windsor 30 days ago.
Trojan Truth
Typically slowly away but recorded a hat-trick last summer. Beaten just a short head at Ffos Las in July, but found himself losing more ground at the start when fifth of 9 at Windsor 16 days ago. Needs things to drop right.
Offiah's Boy
Arrives in good form, going close at this course (1¼m) at the end of July before getting back to winning ways at Lingfield (9f, firm). Ran at least as well when third at Epsom 19 days ago and he has to be taken seriously.
Belle Amie (SWE)
Has taken her form up a notch for current yard this season, winning 2 of first 3 starts including handicap over this C&D in June. Soon bounced back from a lesser effort when third of 9 at Lingfield (13f, all-weather) 18 days ago and she's a major player.
Douglas Dc (IRE)
Turned in his best effort in over a year without ever looking like ending his drought when second in handicap at Lingfield (11.5f, firm) in early August. Ran to a similar level when making the frame in classified event at the same venue (all-weather) 15 days ago.
