Timeform View

ITSAWORKINMANIAM caught the eye when closing late on his Roscommon reappearance/handicap debut 31 days ago and, with the step up in trip expected to suit, looks worth chancing in an open-looking staying handicap. Mighty Berkshire arrives in good order and rates the main danger, while Sound Judgement remains unexposed as a stayer.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Timeform Comments

Mighty Berkshire (IRE)
Much improved since undergoing breathing operation prior to return. Overcoming the run of the race when winning 19-runner handicap at Galway (2¾m) in July and then taking another step forward when 1½ lengths second of 10 to Moonlight Paradise at Tramore last time, conceding first run. Interesting.
Cooladdi (IRE)
Confirmed the promise shown before his unfortunate Roscommon exit when landing a 19f 13-runner maiden at this course last month by 2¼ lengths from Tyson Fury. Makes handicap debut and pedigree gives hope that the markedly longer trip is within his range.
Cornmarket (IRE)
Won 3 times at Sligo last season and his best efforts this term have come at that course, including when 2¼ lengths third of 11 to Strong Contender last time. Tends to be opposable elsewhere, though.
Pride Of Place (IRE)
Fairly useful chaser, winner of Killarney National in May and third in the Midlands National here (25f) in July. Fell at the fifth back over hurdles at this course last time but remains potentially very well treated on his chasing form. Strength in the market should be noted.
Sound Judgement (IRE)
Winning pointer who found improvement, in first-time cheekpieces, when taking 11-runner 3m maiden hurdle at Cork in July. Raced on the worst of the ground when finding life harder on handicap debut last time and remains unexposed as a stayer.
Starzov (IRE)
Not scored since 2023 and offered little encouragement in a handful of starts last year or on return at Roscommon last month.
Good World (IRE)
Returned to form when 6¾ lengths fourth of 10 to Moonlight Paradise in 21f handicap at Tramore last time. Entitled to be in the mix for minor honours again if repeating that performance.
Itsaworkinmaniam (IRE)
Finished a remote second on standout effort in maidens last season but very much caught the eye under considerate handling when 17¾ lengths fifth of 15 to She'll Be Kept at Roscommon on handicap debut last month, left poorly placed and finishing with running left. One to consider.
Keep Em Quite (IRE)
Found only one too good in an extended 2¾m maiden at Ballinrobe last month but looked stretched by 3¼m when 9¼ lengths fourth of 11 to Strong Contender at Sligo 9 days later. This slightly shorter distance should help but will need to resume progress if he's to break his duck here.
Priory Park (IRE)
Won handicap chase at Limerick and handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe last season. Attracted support but ran poorly on return and has a bit to prove now as a result.
Adaliz (GER)
Dual handicap hurdle winner last season who posted a career best in first-time blinkers when 5¾ lengths fourth of 18 to Caher Roes Den at Galway last time. Not sure to back that up, however.
Ilbdare (IRE)
Both career victories have come at Sligo, showing benefit of his reappearance when landing 16-runner handicap in June. Below form there last time, though, and record elsewhere far less appealing.
Midnight Eagle (IRE)
Confirmed previous promise and overcame tack issues when winning 10-runner extended 2½m handicap at Sligo last month by ½-length from Harpy Eagle. Should stay this far but it's been nearly 2 years since she last tackled a trip further than 21f.
Smallcraftwarning (IRE)
Has struggled to match the same consistency he showed in 2024/25 this season but has still hit the frame on 3 occasions, including twice over hurdles. There's little encouragement to be gleaned from recent chasing performances, however.
