Timeform View

KINIRO has caught the eye a few times this year and a truly-run contest could bring the best out of him so he's taken to break his duck for current yard. Philanthropist is another major player given his stable's excellent form and Mythical Composer is one that could get back on the up returned to all-weather.

Timeform Comments

Shiplake (IRE)
Won at Southwell in January before lesser efforts on turf, though did return to form when fourth of 13 back at Southwell 19 days ago and he's proving less headstrong of late so could take a hand.
Rajeko (IRE)
Previous all-weather winner who has disappointed this year, including following a gelding operation and has plenty to prove despite another drop in grade.
Yankee Dude (IRE)
Won over C&D in 2024 but hasn't been seen much since. Showed promise when second of 6 at Wolverhampton in April on return from 11 months off, but ran poorly at Thirsk after further 4 months off last time and needs the return to all-weather to spark him into life.
Physique (IRE)
Won at Newmarket in June when allowed to dominate but struggled since and unlikely to get his way out in front back on all-weather.
Dr Strangelove
Course winner who finished runner-up at this trip on turf in June and July but didn't fire back sprinting last time. Not without hope back up in trip and returned to all-weather.
Philanthropist
Dual all-weather winner who returned to form with a second of 11 over C&D 23 days ago and, though he's got a difficult draw to contend with, he's hard to rule out with his stable continuing in such tremendous form.
Lexington Jet (IRE)
Won over this trip at Chester in May but wayward in all 4 runs since, racing much too freely over 1¼m on latest. Uncertain to get an easy lead here but drop back to 7f should help, as will the return to all-weather (won 3 of first 4 outings this year on the surface).
Gilet (IRE)
Made frame 3 times in a row when last seen, coming third of 8 in a handicap at this track over 1m in January. Back to 7f here and returns from 226 days off in a competitive affair so needs to be at the top of his game to figure.
Metaverse (IRE)
Runner-up over C&D in December but not kicked on since, reverting to his free-going ways without the headgear at Wolverhampton last time. Hood back on to address that but now returns from 168 days off for a stable struggling for winners.
Winston's Warrior (IRE)
Won over 7f on all-weather at Southwell in April but not pulled up any trees on turf since. Return to this surface should help.
Flag Of St George (IRE)
Gradually working his way back to form and stepped up on reappearance run when sixth of 11 over C&D 23 days ago. Only 1 lb above last winning mark and stable going well at present so another step forward could see him in the mix.
Kiniro
Shaped better than results on his first few starts for his current yard and then ran creditably when third of 11 over C&D last month, running on late. Has recorded both his wins on this surface and should be suited by the likely strong tempo here so could prove a major threat.
Mythical Composer
Won over C&D in December but down field over 6f on turf both recent starts since returning from a 6-month absence. Return to this trip and to all-weather could see him make more impact this time.
Port Road (USA)
3-time all-weather winner but not really fired since April, shaping a bit better when sixth here last time, but this looks a tough contest to bounce back in.
