Timeform View

HOLY LEGEND is enjoying a purple patch and may well make it 3 wins from 4 starts this summer. Culligran is a fairly solid operator at this level and looks a danger, while Belle Le Grand needs close monitoring in the market.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Holy Legend traded at a high of 20.00 and Betfair SP of 3.35 when winning last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Belle Le Grand
Much the best of these over hurdles (won 3 times in mares company). Didn't build on a considerate chasing debut when down the field at Market Rasen last time, however, a 4 lb reprieve sees her drop into a 0-100 here. Interesting if the market speaks in her favour.
Holy Legend
Strong traveller who's proving a reformed character (formerly moody). Successful 2 of his 3 starts over fences this summer, rallying to score by 3¾ lengths here (2½m) last time (would have possibly finished second had rival completed). Good claims with drop back in trip unlikely to be an issue.
Four Decades
Half-sister to a smart chaser. More impact than previously when beaten 3¾ lengths in a weak race on handicap bow at Fakenham (23.5f, 9/4) in April. No show at long odds back over shorter in a couple of hurdle starts this summer. Worth a betting check for yard that can ready a chasing debutant.
Culligran (IRE)
Off the mark at second time of asking over fences at Newton Abbot (21f) last June. Back to form when 3 lengths behind one on the up in handicap chase here (2½m) and underlined she's fairly consistent with 8½-length fourth over hurdles at Uttoxeter (2m) latest. Should give another good account.
Boom Boom (IRE)
Lost his way after landing back-to-back course handicaps at Stratford last summer. On a handy mark as a result (3 lb lower than the latest of those wins) and hinted at a revival when 15½ lengths third at Stratford in early-July. Now needs to build on that following an 8-week absence.
Ballinoulart (IRE)
Long-standing maiden (including in points) who has no form for current yard.
