Timeform View

This is wide open but BATED BREEZE rates the pick of the weights and can double his tally now dropped in grade having also been poorly drawn when down the field at Brighton last time. The consistent Washington Heir is next on the list, while Call Time, My Mate Mackley and Roman Spring also need factoring into this very open sprint.

Timeform Comments

My Mate Mackley
Resumed winning ways in classified company at Lingfield (6f) in August and has run well to be placed at Yarmouth and Brighton since, runner-up in 5f handicap on latter occasion. Can go well again off the same mark.
Dreambird Dolly
Made all in classified event at Leicester (5f) in June. Followed that up with handicap seconds at Leicester/Salisbury but below par at Brighton and Lingfield last 2 runs. Bounce back is needed.
Washington Heir
Gained a first win in Brighton classified event in June. Not discredited all 3 runs since, latest when a close tenth of 16 in handicap there (6f, good) 15 days ago. Merits consideration once more.
Lethal Blast
A fair 5f winner for John Bridger in 2021. Off the track for 4 years before beating one in 6f handicap at Kempton in May. Has plenty to prove.
Cabeza De Llave
Is on a long losing run but again ran with credit when third in handicap at Windsor (5f) in June. Not scaled same heights in 2 subsequent runs (too free latest) but this C&D winner can't be totally dismissed back here.
Call Time (IRE)
On a losing sequence but shaped well when third at Ffos Las (5f) in August and not seen to best effect (bumped start) with fifth of 8 in handicap at Bath (5f, good to firm) 5 days ago. Needs considering.
Reporter
C&D winner last June but arrives under a cloud, eleventh of 12 in handicap here (6f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Others appeal more.
Roman Spring (IRE)
A 3-time 5f/6f winner in 2025. In the frame for the fifth time this season when a good second of 8 in all-weather handicap at Lingfield (5f) 16 days ago. Not out of things.
Bated Breeze (IRE)
Finally got off the mark in 6f Brighton classified event in July. Run best ignored (drawn wide) when thirteenth of 16 in handicap there (6f, good) 15 days ago. Drops in class and weighted to go well here.
Pacific Prince
Remains winless and only eighth of 11 in handicap at Chepstow (7f, soft) 7 days ago. Down in trip with work to do.
Bama Lama
C&D winner in 2024. Only twice raced this term and just sixth of 8 in classified event at Chepstow (5f, good to firm) in July. Needs to take a big step forward.
Tilsworth Ony Ta
It's now 28 runs since his last win in 2024 and retried in cheekpieces when a well-held sixth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5f) in July. Tongue strap goes on this C&D winner for the first time now with plenty to find.
