Timeform View

Lots to consider but DOWN THE GLEN shaped well behind Jp's Express over C&D a month ago and may well reverse the form this time. Nazario looks dangerous up in trip, with Tharaka one to monitor closely in the market.

Timeform Comments

Felix Somary (IRE)
Winless since debut but produced just about best effort fitted with a visor when good third of 11 in handicap at this course (8.5f, good) 37 days ago. Repeat of that will see him in the mix.
Down The Glen (IRE)
Very good ¾-length third of 18 to Jp's Express in handicap at this C&D (soft) 39 days ago, unable to sustain effort having raced wide throughout. That performance can therefore be upgraded.
Nazario (IRE)
Yet to win a race but continues in good heart, fourth of 11 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good to soft, 3/1) 7 days ago. Up in trip, which looks worth a go on that evidence so he's on the shortlist.
Suir Monad (IRE)
Posted solid efforts all 3 starts thus far, latest when third of 12 in maiden at Galway (8.5f, good) 38 days ago. May do better now sent handicapping from a fair mark.
Jp's Express (IRE)
Opened his account over C&D in July. Bit below form sixth of 15 in claimer at Gowran (1m, good to firm) 27 days ago albeit he was keeping on when meeting some trouble.
Purely (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who didn't shape with masses of promise when fourth of 7 in maiden at Fairyhouse (1¼m, good). Off 103 days and makes handicap debut for leading connections but she needs to up her game.
Cladach (IRE)
Not yet fully exposed and starting to go the right way, posting a very good third of 11 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good to soft) 7 days ago. Up in trip and he merits consideration.
Dont Get Me Wrong (IRE)
All-weather winner in November and with headgear on for the first time, he left previous effort this season behind when second of 4 in handicap at Newmarket (1¼m, good) 24 days ago.
Tharaka (IRE)
Promising individual who almost certainly needed the run on first start since leaving K. J. Condon when 18½ lengths seventeenth of 18 to Jp's Express in handicap at this C&D (soft) 39 days ago. Will run much closer to form this time.
Aquilla Star (IRE)
Stepped up markedly on reappearance when second at Ballinrobe in July but unable to back that up twice since, seventh of 11 in handicap at this course (8.3f, good) 37 days ago. Back down slightly in class.
Cosmic Funk (IRE)
Yet to win a race but he's pretty consistent, running right up to his best when good fourth of 15 in handicap at Gowran (1m, good to soft) 7 days ago.
Ella's Gold (IRE)
Forward-going type who cast aside a disappointing run at the Curragh when fourth of 12 in handicap at Navan (1m, good) 12 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently.
Shay's Dream (IRE)
Seemed to show a bit more when ninth of 14 in claimer at Sligo (10.5f, good to soft, 22/1) 34 days ago but that isn't form to be getting carried away with. Tongue strap on for handicap debut.
Sweetie Too (IRE)
Little impact in 1m maidens this summer but handicaps are more suitable.
Dawn Flame
Respectable sixth of 16 in handicap at Cork (1m, good to soft, 11/1) 9 days ago given he was on the flank most of the way. Blinkers on first time.
Coolshine (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden and little in the way of solid form so far, 100/1, thirteenth of 15 in handicap at this course (7f, good to soft) 43 days ago. Back up in trip.
