Timeform View

MARENGO STORM and Old Is Gold both shaped well in better handicaps than this last time with the former only narrowly preferred. Arry Up can also play a part if shrugging off his recent Kempton disappointment.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The pace doesn’t look like being overly strong here and Arry Up should still be served best by being ridden prominently: Old Is Gold might not benefit from being ridden as far back as usual for all the gallop is likely to be a reasonable one.

Timeform Comments

Mister Bluebird
Good runner-up efforts at Musselburgh and over 7f here in the spring but lesser efforts next 2 starts 3 months apart, pulling too hard last time. Steps back down in trip now as a previous C&D winner.
Marengo Storm
Progressive son of Havana Grey who made it 2 wins from 4 career starts in 3-runner handicap at Newmarket in June. Good fifth in this headgear at Glorious Goodwood next time and remains of strong interest back down in class.
Old Is Gold (IRE)
Yet to match the pick of his form as a 2-y-o but he caught the eye in this headgear at York 3 weeks ago, shaping as if a return to this trip will suit. Needs considering down in class.
Atticum
Won novice at Yarmouth over 5f last year but summed up by his mark in handicaps this season, beaten almost 3 lengths despite running close to his best at Sandown 6 weeks ago.
Arry Up
Completed hat-trick at Kempton in April and resumed progress to win at Sandown in July. Disappointed when strong in the market back at Kempton since but type to bounce back.
Brosay
Tumbling down the weights but has shown little recent indication that he can take advantage.
An Outlaw's Grace (IRE)
Winless since debut but made more of an impact off a career-low mark when second at Windsor 10 days ago.
Born Slippy
Ffos Las scorer last summer who seemingly produced his best effort when eighth of 15 in listed Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar. However, showed very little on his belated return here 6 weeks ago. Tongue strap back on.
Evie Ross (IRE)
Won a Chepstow maiden last summer but she hasn't kicked on in handicaps this year, not convincing with her attitude in this headgear latest.
