Timeform View

GLORY AND HONOUR has recaptured his form this season and with 10-lb claimer Rebecca Hitchen retaining the ride, is fancied to notch a second win of the campaign. Loriko has had a productive summer but his mark now looks on the harsh side for winning a couple of thin, small-field events. However, he can still prove the biggest threat ahead of Ladies Day.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Loriko traded at a high of 3.05 and Betfair SP of 2.50 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Loriko (FR)
Beat his sole rival at Huntingdon in May, before also landing the odds in a Uttoxeter novice (2m) a month later. Almost landed the hat-trick at Market Rasen next time before being seen to good effect to scrape home in a 3-runner race there 25 days ago. Mark now looks a shade stiff back handicapping.
Skyjack Hijack (IRE)
Front runner who completed a remarkable 6-timer in 2024. Hasn't looked the same horse since returning from a 15-month absence, first-time tongue strap/cheekpieces failing to spark a revival at Worcester last time.
Ladies Day (IRE)
Enthusiastic type who finished runner-up in listed bumper last winter. Off the mark with smooth success in Bangor maiden prior to following up at Uttoxeter, and she ran at least as well when fourth of 11 at Cartmel (17f, good, 9/2) on handicap debut 53 days ago.
Glory And Honour (IRE)
Veteran who returned to winning ways in reapplied blinkers in 6-runner handicap hurdle at Hexham (2m) in June. Partnered by this 10-lb claimer when beaten only a short-head in a 6-runner handicap hurdle at this course (17f, firm) 12 days ago and he makes appeal with yard in still in top form.
Ballygeary (IRE)
In decent enough form at present but he's long been ungenuine and again seemed to lack the resolution in the finish when backing out into fifth in a 5-runner handicap hurdle at this course (17f, firm) 12 days ago.
