Timeform View

BETWEEN ME AND U proved better than ever when completing the hat-trick at Carlisle 3 weeks ago, showing a good attitude, and he is taken to add to his tally in current form. Heading the list of dangers is 5-time course winner Arctician having dropped to a handy mark, with Asteverdi completing the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Arctician traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP 3 times on 4 of its last 5 starts: Herculeus has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Royale Goodnight (GER)
Successful over 7f here on debut. Only raced twice after for Daniel & Claire Kubler but good second in handicap at Southwell (11f) last spring. Well beaten for new yard after another 13 months off at Newbury (1¼m) in April, but this run should reveal more back down in trip.
Asteverdi
Shaped encouragingly on seasonal/stable debut and soon left behind a lesser effort when third at Goodwood in June. Caught wide when down the field at Southwell last time, so no surprise to see her fare better for yard which tends to do well with new recruits.
Between Me And U
Is thriving at present, getting back to winning ways over this C&D in July and successful at Wolverhampton and Carlisle in 2 starts since. Proved determined last time and can make a bold bid for the 4-timer.
Longlai (FR)
Without a win last year (joined current yard after second outing), but took a step back in the right direction when making the frame at Newmarket (7f) on return. Failed to come on for that run when down the field here last month, though now gets a drop in class.
Herculeus
Dual handicap winner at around 1m on turf last season but yet to fire during the current campaign, sixth of 9 over this C&D 3 weeks ago. Drops back in grade but others more persuasive at present.
Happy Banner (IRE)
Novice winner over 7f here at 2 yrs. Yet to strike in handicaps but placed 3 times this season, before finding his run of good form coming to a halt at Windsor 11 days ago. He's not ruled out, though, back down in grade returned to all-weather.
Arctician (IRE)
Five-time course winner, successful twice over 7f here last year. After 9 weeks off, possibly needed the run when seventh of 11 in handicap at this track last month, so he's one to note having dropped below his last winning mark.
Lady Manzor
All 3 wins on all-weather early last year, including on handicap debut at this course (7f). Arrives in good heart this season, making the frame for the fifth consecutive start when third of 6 at Lingfield (1m) 18 days ago.
Freda (IRE)
Off the mark at the fourth attempt in novice over this C&D in April. Matched that form sent handicapping when 2 lengths fifth of 12 here next time, though will need to find more from her current mark returning from nearly 4 months off.
San Juanito
Successful twice at Wolverhampton last spring for Simon & Ed Crisford. However, he ended time with that yard on a low-key note and hasn't built on his stable debut effort in 3 starts this year.
Potomac River
Is still looking for a breakthrough success but arrives in good nick, sticking to his task well when third of 7 in handicap at Newmarket 20 days ago. Placed at Newcastle last year on only previous start on all-weather.
Rhythm N Rock (IRE)
Posted his best effort for a while when ending long losing run over this C&D in May. Back up 4 lb in the weights, shaped as if still in good form when fifth of 13 at Wolverhampton the following month, denied a clear run.
Gunfighter (IRE)
Took advantage of his reduced mark when scoring at Southwell (7f) in July. Hasn't quite been able to match that level in 2 starts since, though, fifth of 11 at Lingfield 20 days ago.
Spirit Lead Me (IRE)
Back-to-back winner on the all-weather last autumn, over 7f at this course on the first occasion. Has struggled for form this year, though, again finishing well held at Salisbury when last seen in June.
