Timeform View

Preference is for MIDNIGHT'S DREAM who had been in good heart prior to his run in a higher grade here last time. He is taken to quickly get back on track and resume winning ways from his reduced mark, with Francisco next best as he returns to this shorter trip. On Key completes the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Midnight's Dream traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Coiled traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Majestic Wave
Without a win in handicaps but fared better from his much-reduced mark when second over this C&D in July. Left poorly placed next time, before finding the test too much over 1m here 16 days ago. Has fallen further in the weights so he's not ruled out.
On Key
Gained a deserved first success when winning 7f handicap at Wolverhampton in July. Continued in good heart with placed efforts on his next 3 starts, before having a wide draw to overcome when seventh of 12 at the same course (8.5f) 15 days ago. Possibilities.
Midnight's Dream (IRE)
Placed 3 times in 0-60 company in July, including twice on the all-weather at Wolverhampton, before a below-par effort in a slightly higher grade over this C&D last month. Has eased further in the weights so could leave his latest effort behind.
Francisco
Doubled his tally when scoring over C&D in April and made the frame here last month. Unsuited by the step back up to 1m when down the field at this track 3 weeks ago, so merits consideration returned to shorter.
Jackson Street (IRE)
C&D winner in December and placed twice here this year, finishing a close third on the turf last month. Below form back on the all-weather when seventh of 10 on latest outing, though was hampered first bend. Could fare better with Billy Loughnane taking over.
Vitalline
Gained a second win of the campaign in 6f handicap at Newcastle in June but ran poorly next 2 outings. Bounced back when runner-up in classified event over this C&D 23 days ago, though task is now to back up his latest effort.
Fulford Cross
Off the mark in handicap over this C&D in December. Has been held back by slow starts this year, though broke on terms and still ran below form when fifth of 10 at Southwell 2 weeks ago. Cheekpieces tried last time left off returned to this track.
Tilsworth Max
Finally off the mark in classified event over this C&D in January. Good third in handicap here in March but below form on turf the last twice. Off 3 months ahead of return to all-weather.
Coiled (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who returned to form from out of the blue when third of 12 in classified event over this C&D 23 days ago, though had the benefit of a good position. Needs to be able to build on that effort back in a handicap.
Maury (IRE)
Made a winning return in a C&D handicap in March. Made the frame next time but down the field in 4 starts since, albeit not ideally placed in classified event here last month. Others still more persuasive.
Miraflores
Remains a maiden and has struggled for form since returning from 5 months off, dropped back into maiden company but again finishing well held over this C&D 9 days ago. Tongue strap back on.
