BOILERMAKER has shown improved form upped to this trip, making it back-to-back wins when scoring under a positive ride at Wolverhampton last time, and the 3-y-o is taken to score again with more still to offer as a stayer. Next best could be the consistent Lusaka, ahead of Belle of Kt.

Timeform Comments

Taritino (IRE)
Enjoyed a good spell over hurdles this spring and back on the Flat he recorded wins at Salisbury and Chester in June. Has continued in good heart since, going well for a long way before heavy ground took its toll when sixth of 8 at Goodwood 15 days ago.
Curran (IRE)
Winner over C&D on second start for current yard this season and also scored at Salisbury in July. However, ran no sort of race when tailed off at Epsom 13 days ago, so bounce back now called for.
Belle Of Kt
Is enjoying an excellent campaign, her 4-timer during the summer including a C&D success in July. Winning run came to an end when third of 5 at Lingfield (2m) last time, though wasn't ideally placed. Respected.
Percy Jones
All 4 career victories at Wolverhampton, the latest over 1½m last summer. Third over this C&D in June and has made the frame back on all-weather last 3 starts, second of 5 at Lingfield (13f) 12 days ago. May just be vulnerable for a first turf success, though.
Boilermaker (FR)
Gained reward for his consistency this season when opening account at Sandown in July, his first start over this trip. Followed up in 7-runner contest at Wolverhampton 18 days ago, scoring by 2¼ lengths from The Craftymaster, and he can make a bold bid for the hat-trick.
Lusaka (IRE)
Dual C&D winner back in 2023, including this same race. Has been proving consistent this season, again making the frame when second of 7 at Ffos Las (2m) 17 days ago. Is 2 lb below his last winning mark and can make his presence felt once more.
Fair Dinkum (IRE)
Recorded back-to-back wins last autumn, including this race on the first occasion. Worked his way back to form this season when narrowly denied at Salisbury (1½m) in May, but lesser efforts the last twice.
Two Plus Two (IRE)
Winner here (11.5f) last spring and stepped forward from this season's return when scoring over C&D in May. Soon bounced back from a below-par effort when headed only in the dying strides at Epsom (1½m) in July. Can give another good account.
Noble Grace (IRE)
Cut little ice over hurdles but built on promise of her qualifying runs on the Flat when making a successful handicap debut at Ffos Las (1½m) in July. Ran to a similar level when third of 6 over the same C&D last time, though faces a tougher ask here.
The Craftymaster
5-time winner this season, making it 3 victories from 4 starts when scoring at Newmarket (2m) in August. Again ran well when 2¼ lengths second of 7 to Boilermaker at Wolverhampton (1¾m) 18 days ago, though wasn't a match for winner.
Basilette (IRE)
Not the most straightforward but was an emphatic winner at this course (11.5f) in May. Also successful over hurdles during the summer and runner-up back on the Flat the last twice, coming out on the wrong side of a duel over this C&D 11 days ago.
Virtual Hug (IRE)
Ended a long losing run at Wolverhampton in March and also scored at this course (11.5f) in May. Made the frame next 3 starts and wasn't disgraced when sixth of 10 at Ffos Las (1½m) 23 days ago, but is 1 lb out of the weights here.
Buck Barrow
Both career wins have come at Ffos Las on soft ground, latterly in a 1½m classified event in June. Placed in handicaps 3 of last 4 starts, third of 8 at Chepstow (1½m) 15 days ago, though has something to find in this higher grade.
Corsican Caper (IRE)
Long time since his last success on the Flat but won over hurdles in handicap at Uttoxeter (23f) in May. Transferred his good form back onto the level when third of 8 in handicap here (17f) the following month. 4 lb out of the weights. Engaged 17.03 Chester Friday.
