Timeform View

TIVA represents an in-form yard and arrives on the back of several solid efforts, including a recent Musselburgh win. The booking of a useful 5 lb claimer is an added bonus and she is taken to notch a fifth career success. Call Margot took a step back in the right direction and rates the main threat if building on that, while Hiya Maite is on a long losing run but well treated on the pick of his form.

Timeform Comments

Tiva (IRE)
Opened her account for the season at Musselburgh in August and backed that up with a creditable length fourth of 7 to Maelstrom from a revised mark at Newmarket’s July Course 15 days later. With her yard still going well and a good-value 5 lb apprentice booked, she can make a very bold bid.
Kinetic Force
Returned to winning ways in 5f handicap at Thirsk in May by neck from Brazen Bolt and can have a line put through his effort at that course last time, backed into favouritism but poorly drawn the way the race developed. Returns from 105-day break.
Hiya Maite
On a lengthy losing run and shaped as if better for the run when 2½ lengths seventh of 9 to Equity Law at Pontefract on return. On a good mark if able to build on that effort but others preferred.
Winged Messenger
Enjoyed a fine 2025 when a 3-time winner. Shaped well with a Redcar fourth on return but has failed to build on that since and ran poorly at Hamilton last month. Below last winning mark now but needs to bounce back to something like his best.
Big Fun (IRE)
A fair 5f winner as a 2-y-o. Has taken his form up a notch this year without winning, running another solid race despite not being seen to best effect when 2 lengths second of 6 to Henrythenate at Chester last month.
Call Margot (IRE)
Headstrong sort who scored at Southwell (5f) in April and was an unlucky second in 3-y-o Dash at Epsom. Lost her way for a while afterwards but benefited from the return to calmer waters when 3¾ lengths third of 8 to Novamay at Catterick last time. Should go well.
Spoof
Veteran has been sparingly campaigned in recent seasons but notched his first win since 2023 in 5f handicap at Doncaster in March. Well below that form both starts since but possibly needed the run after a 12-week break last time.
Copper Knight (IRE)
Admirable veteran who showed an excellent attitude when adding to his tally at Beverley in May. More miss than hit since, though his mark reflects that and cheekpieces back on in hope they spark a revival.
Fantasy Master
Returned to form when head second of 7 to Maelstrom at Newmarket (July) in August following a 10-week break. Merely underlined his inconsistency in a small-field affair at Yarmouth last time, though.
Tiriac
Dual Newcastle winner in late-2025 but hasn't fired at all this year. Below last winning mark but slow starts remain an ongoing concern.
