Timeform View

SPACE BEAR has responded really well to positive tactics of late and representing a yard in excellent form, it's easy enough to construct a case for her dominating these. Miss Nightcap has more to offer as a handicapper so is feared most, ahead of the reliable Powdering.

Timeform Comments

Bella Lyra (GER)
Fairly useful 6f winner at 2 yrs. Rejoined former yard after a couple of heavy defeats at Santa Anita in May/June and didn't show enough over 7f on handicap debut at York to seriously consider her, even in this lesser race. Cheekpieces on.
Gold Digger (IRE)
Landed odds in a Windsor novice on seasonal return and wasn't disgraced when ninth of 27 on handicap debut back at the Royal Meeting last month. Ran about as well as could've been expected when sixth in Sandown Group 3 in July before proving too free in cheekpieces back in a handicap at Goodwood.
Cherry Baker
Produced a pretty useful effort when bagging a Chester handicap in May and even better form when edged out late on back here later that month. Drop to 5f didn't seem ideal in class 2 handicap at Ascot a month later and this more suitable.
Miss Nightcap
Posted a useful effort when making a successful handicap debut at Leicester (6f, good to firm) in July before facing a stiff task in listed race at Pontefract, racing closer to pace than ideal. Merits consideration back in a handicap.
Lady Roxby
Best effort since reappearance when finding only one too good at Kempton 10 days ago. Hasn't found stringing performances together easy of late but she should be competitive.
Passing Thought
Took a big step forward when winning on reappearance at Wetherby (7f) on handicap debut in April. Found it tougher at Royal Ascot next time but harder to excuse both efforts since. Needs blinkers to sharpen her up.
Space Bear (IRE)
Formerly a free-goer who opened her turf account over C&D in April and has reacted really well to forcing tactics of late, settling nicely and better than ever for latest win at Windsor 17 days ago. 4 lb rise very fair so major player.
Powdering (IRE)
Had excuses on a few occasions before getting off the mark for the season at Newmarket in June. Right back on her game when third at Kempton 10 days ago and she's likely to give it another good go.
Zighy (IRE)
Picked up where she left off when successful at Southwell in April. Hit the frame all 5 starts since without really advancing her form but a well-run 6f would suit her.
Tarot
Kempton novice winner in October but has struggled on the whole in handicaps since, often not helping herself by racing freely.
