Timeform View

STORM FORCE TEN confirmed the improvement shown at Salisbury in spite of being kept to 6f at Ascot last time, so he’s an appealing candidate now stepping back up in trip in what looks a weaker novice. Bullrider has been gelded since a disappointing run at Southwell 6 weeks ago and has leading claims if bouncing back to form, while Galactic Affair is a newcomer to keep an eye on in the betting for a respected yard.

Timeform Comments

Bullrider (IRE)
Blackbeard colt who backed up his debut second when third in 12-runner novice at Southwell (7f) in July. Perhaps unsuited by the combination of a 10-day turnaround and the step up to 1m when not in the same form back there last time. Has since been gelded and worth another chance.
Cool King
Stepped up on debut effort when third of 9 in novice at Epsom (7f, good to firm) in late July. Ran to only a similarly modest level when fourth of 11 at Newmarket since, though. More required.
Galactic Affair (IRE)
Foaled March 3. €28,000 yearling, Space Traveller gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including 7f winner Me Tarzan and winner up to 7f Royal Ambition. Dam maiden best at 6f. Yard capable of readying one, so needs a close look in the betting with cheekpieces enlisted for debut.
Mad Jack (IRE)
Couldn't even match debut form when a well-held eight of 9 in 1m novice at Salisbury (good to soft, 150/1) 14 days ago.
Solar Major (IRE)
Foaled February 3. £33,000 yearling, Invincible Army colt. Dam North American 2-y-o 5f-6.5f winner, including minor stakes. Wears blinkers for debut which is somewhat off-putting.
Storm Force Ten (IRE)
Left debut well behind when third of 12 in 6f novice (80/1) at Salisbury in August and ran to a similar level when fifth of 7 at Ascot (6f, good) 13 days ago, staying on to be nearest at the finish. Step back up to 7f will suit and remains capable of better.
Five Star George (IRE)
Sent off 50/1 and offered little when down the field in 6f maiden at Thirsk (good) on debut 34 days ago.
God Of Titans (IRE)
Got cheaper each time he went through the sales ring and has shown nothing either start to date.
Angel Of Heaven
Well-bred Harry Angel filly who has been in need of the experience when down the field on both her starts to date, latterly in 10-runner maiden at Newmarket in July. Likely to be of more interest in handicaps after this outing.
Nouva Stella
Finished down the field in 12-runner maiden at Kempton (7f) on debut 38 days ago, though did have the worst of the draw. Needs a big step forward.
Sweet Distraction
Ten Sovereigns filly who looks one for nurseries after this run.
