Timeform View

Five fillies of potential clash here but SORRENGAIL sets a clear standard on her latest 6f course second and can go one place better now tackling 7f for the first time. Ryan Moore's mount Spirit of Lyra might be the one to follow her home.

Timeform Comments

Miss Miniver (IRE)
800,000 gns Wootton Bassett filly who produced an encouraging first effort when second of 12 at Kempton (7f) and showed a willing attitude to edge out some other promising fillies (including Learning) in 7f maiden at Salisbury (good to soft) since. More to come but does have to give weight away.
Sorrengail
Raced at 6f on good to firm, building on debut to win Ascot novice in July. Improved again chasing home a smart prospect in 6f conditions event here last month. Fitted with a hood now stepping up to 7f. Sets a good standard.
Sweetwonderfulyou (IRE)
325,000 gns Starspangledbanner filly who shaped well on Ayr debut before landing the odds in a C&D novice (good to firm) 5 weeks ago. The type to keep on improving.
Learning
Held back by inexperience in a sales race in France on debut and left that form well behind when 1¼ lengths fourth of 8 to Miss Miniver in maiden at Salisbury (7f, good to soft) on 15 days ago, running on. Open to further progress.
Spirit Of Lyra (IRE)
Winner of maiden at Lingfield (6f, good to firm) in July. Not seen to best effect when second of 12 in novice at Salisbury (6f, good to soft) since and remains open to improvement.
