This is wide open as usual but David O'Meara's soft-ground scorer TOYOTOMI could prove the answer with Oisin Murphy an eye-catching booking after his luckless run in a big-field handicap at the Curragh last time. Rapper's Delight is better than his recent form figures suggest and can go well off a handy-looking mark, while Desert Falcon, Deep Havana and Trilby all have plenty to recommend them too in a cracking renewal of the Silver Cup.

Enjoyed a fine 2025 when a dual winner and also runner-up in Gold Cup here. Right back on track following a breathing operation this summer, coming in a close sixth of 21 in Portland at Doncaster (5.5f, good) week ago. Primed for a bold showing.
Super Soldier (IRE)
Useful as a juvenile but without a win since debut and has found things tough in 4 outings this year, gelded before finishing in midfield in Portland at Doncaster (5.5f, good) a week ago.
Mirabeau
Back to form to bag 6f handicap at Newbury (6f) in April and ran at least as well when second back there a month later. Well held at York and Ascot both runs since however so has plenty to prove.
Deep Havana
A fairly useful 6f/7f performer for A. De Mieulle in Qatar early in 2025. Made light of a 17-month absence for new yard with success in 18-runner handicap at Thirsk 22 days ago. Saddles a 5 lb penalty but runner-up has gone in since and a likely player here with few miles still on the clock.
Toyotomi (FR)
Listed winner when trained in France. Got off the mark for current yard at Goodwood (6f, soft) in June and shaped well when tenth of 24 in handicap at the Curragh (6f, good to soft) 6 days ago, still on bridle 1f out but unable to get through in time. Interesting with Oisin Murphy now up.
Commanche Falls
One-time smart veteran (runner-up in Gold Cup back in 2022). Hasn't scored since 2023 but was runner-up in 2 handicaps in Bahrain over the winter. Best effort since returning to Britain when third at Ripon (6f) but beat just one at Thirsk (6f) last time.
Brazilian Rose (IRE)
Winner of 4 6f/7f handicaps at Southwell early this season but has found life tough contesting listed events in the summer. This looks another tough ask off a stiff-looking mark. Engaged 3.05 here Friday.
Station X
Has proved admirably consistent when racing over 6f this year, gaining a third victory of the campaign at Chester in August. Rare below-par effort when fourteenth of 21 in Portland at Doncaster (5.5f, good) 7 days ago but no surprise to see him bounce back here.
Lord Roxby (IRE)
Likeable type who returned to best when winning at York (6f) in May and doubled his tally for the season at Ripon (6f) in August. Solid third in Great St Wilfrid there since and poorly drawn when eleventh at Thirsk (6f, good) last time. Not out of things.

Is enjoying a fine season and recorded his third win of the year when making all at Beverley (5f) in July. Good second in the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon (6f) subsequently but beat only one in Portland at Doncaster (5.5f, good) 7 days ago. Bounce back is needed.
Havana Blue
Ended a long losing sequence at Newmarket (6f) in August and followed up in 13-runner handicap at Ascot (6f, good to firm) 2 weeks ago. This demands more but not taken lightly under a 5 lb penalty in his current mood.
Trilby
Rejuvenated by fitting of cheekpieces and notched a third success of 2026 at Beverley (5f, heavy) in August. Posted another very good effort when second of 9 at Haydock (5f, soft) 2 weeks ago. Goes really well on soft ground so another bold showing is on the cards.
Veblen Good (IRE)
Successful on return/stable debut at Pontefract in April and has made up into a reliable sprint handicapper typical of the yard, finishing in the frame 4 times since. Below-par effort over 7f at Ascot last time but is the type to bounce back.
Goldmoyne (IRE)
Yet another fine advert for his yard, winning 6 times on all-weather between December and March. Has held his form well from higher marks on turf since, sixth of 13 in handicap at Chester (7.5f, good) last time when ridden aggressively. In the mix again.
Rapper's Delight
Sole success came in 5f Southwell novice in 2025 but took his form up a level when runner-up in 5f handicaps at Southwell and Newmarket in July. Not been seen to best effect from poor draws at Goodwood twice subsequently. Figures on a handy mark and not without interest in first-time blinkers.
Advertised (IRE)
Dual 6f/7f winner at Newcastle last year. Bounced back to form with second at Hamilton (5f) in August but just a respectable sixth of 9 at Haydock (5f, soft) last time.
Jungle Drums (IRE)
Won twice on the all-weather for current yard without matching the best of his juvenile form (for Karl Burke). Good fourth of 10 in handicap at Goodwood (6f, soft) last time but this is tougher.
Eternal Sunshine
C&D scorer who resumed winning ways at Hamilton (6f) in August. Only eighteenth of 21 in Portland at Doncaster (5.5f, good) 7 days ago but third in Bronze Cup here 12 months ago so no surprise to see her get back in the mix.
Musical Touch (IRE)
Scored at Southwell in April and also bagged 21-runner handicap at York (6f) in June. Not disgraced off a career-high mark with third of 9 at Thirsk (6f, good to soft) 2 weeks ago. No forlorn hope.
Another Baar
Landed 5f event in Bahrain in January. Hasn't built on that effort since, though had worst of draw when seventeenth of 21 in handicap at York (5.5f, good) last time.
We Never Stop (IRE)
Without a win since last spring (last 3 wins on all-weather) but returned to form on the back of a breathing operation when second at Chester in June. Not best drawn when seventh at Thirsk (6f, good) last time so possibilities.
Tricky Tel
Boasts excellent Chester record with 3 course wins and finished good second there in July. Not seen to best effect at York and back at Chester last 2 runs. Can't be totally dismissed.
Wicket Keeper (IRE)
Dual 6f winner for Ed Bethell in 2025. Lightly raced for current yard and in good form first 2 runs at Newcastle before being poorly drawn at York (6f, good to soft) when last seen out in May. This is no easy return but he has won off a break.
Uncle Don
On a long losing run and not proving the easiest to catch right for his current yard, one of better efforts with fifth of 16 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) last month.
Korker (IRE)
It's now thirty runs since his last win in 2023 and only eighth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (7f, soft) 2 weeks ago. Visor goes on for the first time with plenty more needed.
