Sole success across both codes came in juvenile hurdle in Ireland in 2022. Has finished runner-up in the previous couple of renewals of this race (now 3 lb lower than last year) and has been in reasonable heart on the Flat lately. No surprise to see him double his tally in a change of headgear.
T Or Coffey (IRE)
Off the mark on debut for current yard in a 2m Stratford maiden hurdle last July. Went backwards from his reappearance on return to Stratford last time, though, at a stretch possibly still needing the run.
Network Rgb
Stoutly-bred individual who was brought along steadily in juvenile hurdles last winter. Coped surprisingly well with sharp 2m when making his second handicap start a winning one over C&D last time. Beat 3 subsequent winners (including Mojo Ego) that day and likely player again off 6 lb higher.
Al Mootamarid (IRE)
Fair 1¼m Flat winner who opened his account in this sphere at Stratford last June. Recorded back-to-back thirds behind subsequent winners over C&D before struggling in a much better race at Cartmel following 2 months away. Worth another chance returning to a more conventional track in calmer waters.
Mojo Ego (IRE)
Dug deep to fend off a next-time-out winner when successful over C&D in early-June. Suited by the emphasis on speed when making it 2 wins from 4 starts for present yard at Stratford last time. Still feasibly treated on the best of his old form, too.
Peter's Last Deal (FR)
Showed ability in a Hereford bumper/maiden hurdle in 2025. Seemingly hasn't been the easiest to keep sound and made no impact stepped up markedly in distance for his handicap bow here (23f) in early-June. Probably still too high the weights back over 2m here.
Lucky Sevens
Half-brother to useful hurdler. Runner-up on hurdling debut prior to looking fortunate to go one better in another small-field event at Stratford in July. Underlined he isn't one for maximum faith on Flat since but still potentially interesting pitched into open handicap company by excellent yard.
Castle Quarter (IRE)
Hit-and-miss veteran who got off the mark in a thin Uttoxeter handicap (2m) in May last year. Back to form with visor fitted when 2½ lengths third on return to that C&D in July. Unsurprisingly didn't back that up over C&D last time, though.
Connemara Joe (IRE)
Cheap purchase who was unplaced in Irish points. Did hint at ability on qualifying run here but hasn't improved in a couple of handicap starts in varying headgear.
Granny B (IRE)
Maiden whose best handicap form came when placing in back-to-back races at Uttoxeter last May. Hasn't shaped as though ready to capitalise on plummeting mark this season, though, having again been let down by her jumping last time.
