Timeform View

MOSSY WAY ran to a fair level in 2 maiden hurdles earlier in the year, jumping better on his second outing when third at Fairyhouse in April, and he can build on those efforts to open his hurdles account. Gillane arrives on the back of a bumper win and is next on the list, ahead of Euro Agent.

Timeform Comments

Beeverstown Boy (FR)
Cloth of Stars gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdlers Feet of A Dancer and Act of Authority. Looks to face a difficult task on debut.
Churchroad Harry (IRE)
€20,000 3-y-o, Mahler gelding. Brother to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Tightenourbelts, and half-brother to 4 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Miss Goldfire. Runner-up on his completed start in points in March.
Euro Agent (IRE)
Has taken a step forward with runner-up efforts in maiden hurdles at Downpatrick the last twice, clear of the rest in 9-runner contest (2¼m) on latest outing. Enters calculations with return to further promising to suit.
Fortis Et Liber
Runner up once from 5 starts in point and left behind his first 2 efforts over hurdles when second of 9 in maiden at Downpatrick (2¾m) in August, benefiting from the extra distance. Could be in the mix.
Gillane (IRE)
Showed fair form in pair of maiden hurdles for previous yard last year. Didn't need to improve when keeping on well for success in bumper at Bellewstown (17f) in April, but he could yet do better making first start over hurdles for current trainer.
Go Mike Go (IRE)
Last of 4 finishers completed start in points. Failed to complete on Rules debut, unseating rider at the ninth in hunter chase at Punchestown in May last year. Off 17 months ahead of going hurdling on first run since leaving Shane Nolan.
Grey Balls Of Fire (IRE)
Off the mark at the fourth attempt in points and looked for one for the longer term sent hurdling when ninth of 12 in maiden at Navan (2¾m) in January. Off 8 months since.
Hurricane Leaf (IRE)
Making third start in bumpers, showed much improved form upped in trip when third of 8 at Downpatrick (19f) in June, though hung left throughout. Has since left James Andrew Fahey and joined a much-respected yard ahead of hurdling debut.
Master Locksley (IRE)
€32,000 3-y-o, Joshua Tree gelding. Dam, 2m hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful 2m/2¾m hurdle winner Kilbarry Chloe. Runner-up on his sole start in points in May.
Mossy Way (IRE)
Fairly useful bumper winner (trained by P. M. J. Doyle for his victory) who showed the benefit of his hurdling debut effort when third of 25 in maiden at Fairyhouse (2m) in April. Major player with further improvement to come back up in trip.
Muckanagh Lough (IRE)
Left his bumper debut behind when runner-up next 2 outings, leaving Brian M. McMahon after his second start. Shaped better than the result when mid-field in a stronger bumper at Punchestown (19f) in May. Could just be better for this experience on hurdles bow.
Spill A Drop (IRE)
Point winner (dead-heated) who showed ability on Rules debut when sixth of 12 in maiden hurdle at Downpatrick (2¾m) in July. However, unseated at the first at Navan 13 days ago.
Techno Kid (IRE)
€57,000 5-y-o, Capri gelding. Half-brother to fair 21f chase winner Jezarus, stayed 23f. Point winner at the second attempt in April, so he's one to note on hurdling debut.
The Bossman About (IRE)
Very much in need of the experience on debut when last of 11 in maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan in September, making novicey mistakes. Likely to need more time.
Barrow Side Boy (IRE)
Never better than mid-field on debut when eighth of 16 in bumper at Punchestown in May. Could be one for further down the line as he starts off over hurdles.
The Farmers Bar (IRE)
Third on his only start in points and was well backed for his bumper debut, but ran no sort of race at Wexford in May. Has since left Ian John McCarthy and interesting to see if the support returns as he goes hurdling.
Getaway Tobin (IRE)
Made the frame once from 3 starts in bumpers but hasn't offered much in a pair of maiden hurdles, well-beaten twelfth of 20 at Galway (17f) 25 days ago.
Kilbree Nouvella (IRE)
Flemensfirth mare. Dam unraced half-sister to top-class hurdler (stayed 21f) The New One and fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3¼m) The Newest One. Pulled up all 3 starts in points this spring.
Queen Of The Gales (IRE)
Dual point winner who shaped better than the result sent hurdling when ninth of 12 in maiden at Wexford (3m) 5 weeks ago, jumping fluently but not lasting home having kicked on early final circuit. This run should reveal more dropped in trip.
Senorita Diana (IRE)
Little promise in 2 bumpers in the spring, again finishing well held when ninth of 11 at Cork in May. Needs to leave those efforts behind over hurdles.
