Timeform View

This looks a good chance for NIGHT IN VEGAS to land a third valuable pot in a row. Zigazig Ah chased him home in a similar race on the July Course here at the end of the summer and can give him most to think about again. Woodhay Wayfarer has a steadily progressive profile and may prove best of the remainder.

Timeform Comments

A Bear Affair (IRE)
Won Brocklesby at Doncaster in March and several creditable efforts in defeat since (including behind Night In Vegas in valuable sales race) prior to resuming winning ways at Salisbury (6f, soft) on Thursday. Useful but he will need to improve for 7f to turn the tables on Night In Vegas.
Night In Vegas (IRE)
Bidding for a hat-trick in similar races after wins on the July Course here (6f, good; beat Zigazig Ah 1½ lengths) and Doncaster (6.5f, good) in recent months. Likely to prove hard to beat again.
Velociraptor
Lope Y Fernandez colt who has plenty about him physically and built on his July Course debut when cosily seeing off 5 rivals in a 7f Chester maiden (good to firm) in July. 7¼ lengths fourth of 6 to Quest For Stars in listed race at Salisbury (1m, good) since.
Carbine Country (IRE)
Foaled March 25. 47,000 gns Territories gelding. Half-brother to useful winner up to 9f Gumais and winner up to 7.6f Love Is The Law. Dam 8.4f/8.6f winner. This is a tough ask on debut but he hails from a top yard.
Choreography (IRE)
40,000 gns New Bay colt who knuckled down well under pressure to make a winning debut at Southwell (7f) in May. Not been seen since but he is open to progress with Colin Keane booked.
Jumeirah Storm (IRE)
Split a pair of next-time-out winners when promising fourth at Salisbury before digging deep to land 6f Doncaster novice (good to firm) in July. Couple of creditable efforts in competitive nurseries at York and Newmarket since. First-time visor replaces cheekpieces.
Artemis Star
Fair maiden, placed over 7f on last 2 outings. Will need to raise his game to get heavily involved.
Claret And Blues
Modest maiden who faces a stiff task here.
Craven Force (IRE)
Limited impact in his 4 starts and surely booked for another struggle.
Generous Spirit (IRE)
Foaled March 25. 25,000 gns Awtaad colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 2-y-o 6f winner Dacres Cross and 5.5f winner Unowho. Dam 6f winner. Bred to have a future but can only be watched here.
Peggy's Lad (IRE)
Won a 7f maiden on Newcastle's all-weather in June but last of 5 in a 1m nursery on the July Course here since. Has lots to find.
Zigazig Ah
Won the Super Sprint at Newbury in July. Bettered that form when 1½ lengths second to Night In Vegas in valuable sales event on the July Course here in August. Only seventh to that rival in a similar contest at Doncaster next time but back on form when second at Goodwood 10 days ago.
Woodhay Wayfarer (IRE)
Off the mark on nursery debut over 1m on the July Course here in August and bettered that form when close third in 1m Kempton nursery 4 weeks ago. Going the right way and likely to be in the shake-up.
Polgaria
Well behind Night In Vegas in a similar race over 6f on the July Course in August. This is more her trip but it's still hard to see her making a significant impact.
Pon Pon Dalia (IRE)
Made it third time lucky in 6f Wolverhampton maiden 26 days ago but it was an ordinary contest and she'll need a fair bit more to play a prominent role here.
