Timeform View

ARCADIAN EMPEROR won a Clonmel maiden hurdle comfortably in April and is taken to make a successful chase debut having been clearly fast-tracked to this sphere. Stablemate Bon Viveur achieved a similar level over hurdles and can be involved if jumping soundly, while Forty Coats and I Started A Joke are also respected.

Timeform Comments

Arcadian Emperor (FR)
Promising individual who got off the mark in maiden hurdle at Clonmel (2½m) when last seen in April. That form has been franked since and rates a most interesting recruit to chasing after just a handful of runs.
Bon Viveur (IRE)
Won 2 of his 3 starts over hurdles last season and took a step forward in the process when landing a Grade 3 novice at Thurles (21f, heavy) in February. Held when falling late in Champion Novices' Hurdle at Punchestown when last seen in May. Type to make a chaser.
Champagne Jury (IRE)
Bumper winner last season who quickly got his act together over hurdles when winning 7-runner 2m maiden hurdle at Gowran last season. Ran to a similar level on chasing debut following month but disappointed last time. Off 6 months since and likely one for handicaps later on.
Daydream Nation (IRE)
Point winner who made a winning handicap debut in hurdle at Leopardstown in March. Good third at Fairyhouse next time but not in same form at Punchestown Festival final start. Made inauspicious start over fences last month and possibly one for the longer term in this sphere.
Forty Coats (IRE)
Useful hurdler at best but has struggled to match that form last season. Out of a winning pointer he's very much the type to make up into a useful chaser and makes his debut in this sphere on the back of a 6-month break with the yard in good heart.
Good Option (IRE)
Fair maiden hurdler that was runner-up in a point and is bred to come into his own as a staying chaser. Makes debut in this sphere after 6-month break, though, and is entitled to be sharper for this outing with yard going through a bit of a lean spell.
I Started A Joke (IRE)
Progressive sort who readily landed the odds in Punchestown maiden hurdle last season and then followed that up with 2 good-placed efforts in a listed handicap and a Grade 2 novice. Should make a chaser and any market support should be seriously noted.
Lemmy Caution (FR)
£250,000 point winner who made a winning hurdling debut at Punchestown (3m) in May. Cheekpieces on for first time when a good second of 6 in novice hurdle at Downpatrick (2¾m, good) in July. Matched that form on chasing debut following month but more required here. Blinkers back on.
Leni's Law (IRE)
In frame twice over hurdles but was never better than mid-division on chasing debut in May
Mullaghgloss (IRE)
Fairly useful hurdler. Won amateur handicap at Thurles last season and posted best effort since when fourth of 12 in handicap ay Limerick. Is bred to make at least as a good a chaser but has 7-month absence to overcome.
Siege Of Carthage (IRE)
Showed promise in a pair of bumpers and made a winning start over hurdles in 18-runner maiden at Limerick (2½m) in July. Put a poor Galway effort behind him when 2½ lengths third of 7 to Lureka Du Noyer in novice in August, but not fluent when soundly beaten on chasing debut last month.
Sir Allen
Fairly useful sort. Made a winning return on the Flat at Navan (1¾m) in late-March. Wasn't far below his best when beaten 7¾ lengths over an inadequate trip at Ballinrobe (17f) on latest hurdle start. Makes chasing debut now.
