KILLEEMORE LAD wasn’t winning out of turn at Downpatrick in August and is taken to follow up now sent handicapping in this sphere from what looks a very fair opening mark. Recent winner Luimneach arrives on the back of a good second at Wexford and rates the main danger, while Its Bilbo has been running well over hurdles and makes his handicap chase debut off his last winning hurdles mark.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Jupiter Du Gite traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Astley has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Its Bilbo (FR)
Returned to hurdling after a stint chasing with a gutsy success in 2m listed handicap at Limerick last season. Produced best effort to date when 6¾ lengths third of 19 to Sainte Lucie in Cork handicap when last seen in April. Reverts to chasing off lower mark and remains open to improvement.
Idy Wood (FR)
Won couple of fairly useful handicaps for Jamie Snowden before losing form and being sold for £18,000. Didn't show much on debut for this yard last time but a dual chase winner in the past and looks fairly treated on his most recent hurdling success now back over fences.
Drumgill (IRE)
Thirteen runs since last win in 2025. Been kept busy this summer, going closest in minor event over hurdles at Kilbeggan when beaten 2 lengths into third in August. Carried no win threat in better races since, though, and again looks up against it.
Killeemore Lad (IRE)
Fairly useful Flat/hurdle winner who confirmed recent promise over fences when landing 7-runner maiden at Downpatrick in August by 2½ lengths from Jabbar. Looks to have been handed a fair mark on handicap chase debut and is very much one for the shortlist.
Jupiter Du Gite (FR)
Headstrong sort but settling better of late and has come close to snapping a lengthy losing run twice in handicap hurdles at Killarney this summer. Wasn't suited by the way the race developed last time and reverts to chasing for first time in nearly 3 years from potentially lenient mark.
Banjaxed
Fairly useful chaser who failed to hit the heights of the previous season in 2025/26. Has been given a chance by the handicapper but others more persuasive after 9 months off.
One Last Tango (IRE)
Seventeen runs since last winning over hurdles in 2023. Made little impact in handicap hurdle at Sligo or in handicap chase at Listowel this season, once more let down by her suspect jumping in this sphere.
Astley (IRE)
Maiden who placed in a bumper prior to offering little at long odds in maiden/novice hurdles. Did run to a fairly useful level first 2 starts over fences in the spring, but below that level in both codes since. Needs to bounce back now tackling a handicap in this sphere.
Luimneach (IRE)
Has made a positive start for current yard this season, building on reappearance effort to open his chase account in handicap at Kilbeggan in July. Backed that up with a good performance when chasing home Chosen Shant at Wexford and one to consider faced with this similar scenario.
